I went to Walgreens this morning to check prices since I spotted this deal last night. This week Almay Cosmetics are priced at Buy One Get One 50% off. Now they are actually ringing up as one at full price and one at $0 (or Buy One Get One Free).
So the Almay Pure Blends Foundation is generating a $10 Register Reward. Apparently some stores have them for $9.99 but my store had them priced at $13.99.
There is also a Register Reward on Almay Pure Blends Mascara for $5 when you buy 1. They are priced at $6.99.
So you can do a few different things:
Buy 1 Foundation at $9.99
Buy 1 Mascara at $6.99
The mascara will ring up at 0 since it it is Buy One Get One.
You will pay $9.99 and you will get back $15 ($10 for the foundation and $5 for the mascara)
You can also buy 1 Almay Pure Blends mascara at $6.99
Buy a second mascara at $6.99 (or buy lip gloss or eye shadow at $7.99)
One of them will ring up free
You will pay $6.99 + tax and get a $5 Register Reward back

Buy One Almay One Coat Mascara at $6.99
Buy a Second One Coat mascara which will ring up at $0
Use the $4 off coupon in the Walgreens coupon book (it will take $4 off twice- so $8)
That will leave you with $1 overage- you need to be sure to buy something else to cover it as they will not give you cash
Final Price: Free!
Even if you get just 2 of the One Coat Mascaras there is $1.01 overage b/c they also ring up at B1G1. No RR for these but still free mascara! Today I got 2 of the One Coat mascaras, 1 Pure Blends Mascara, and 1 Pure Blends foundation for $8.98 OOP and got back $15 RR. Pretty sweet deal!
Hi I just wanted to clarify on the Almay deal. There are actually a couple of deals going on and people are confusing them. The November Coupon Book has a $4 q for One Coat Almay. These are $6.99 each, so you would buy two, get one free and use the $4 Walgreen q which actually gives you $8 off ($4 off for each mascara), or $1.01 overage…you have to buy something for a filler to get this to work.
Looks like this:
2 One coat almay 6.99 each but one will ring up free
use
November Q (-$4) will take off $8.00
Total: -$1.01 (don’t forget your filler item)
Then you have the other Almay deal that you spoke of….the Walgreen Q WILL NOT work with Pure Blends, it will beep. So the deal works just as you listed.
I’ve done each of these deals…so they are confirmed.
The RR did not work for me : (. I did however get a great deal on the mascaras….
The One Coat $5RR did not work for me either…perhaps it’s only certain types of the One Coat? i.e. Thickening vs. Lengthening?? In any case, with the Wags Q, I still got free mascara and the foundation/mascara deal worked like a charm! The cashier & manager at my store were so excited for me – it was cute!!
The $5 RR is only for the Pure Blends Mascara.
Hi, whats the policy on using two coupons on a product you get for free. Like the mascara. If its BOGO , I was told i was only allowed to use 1 coupon, since the second one is free, and i’m not purchasing it. Has anyone had this done before…….or does anyone have an answer.
Laura you are using one coupon. The Walgreens coupons will deduct the amount regardless of how many you buy. You can buy 50 of the same item and use 1 coupon and it will take the amount off of each one. It is a little quirk to their system. I think they may have corrected the Almay but typically that is the case.
