I started typing this whole mess out and decided it was easier to do a vlog. So I will post my Walgreens adventures and strategies a little later this week. In the meantime, I did 4 transactions and paid a grand total of $9.92 for all this. I would have spent $7 regardless on the coffee so I am pretty pleased with my trip.
.
How did you guys do this week? For the new Walgreens shoppers is it getting easier for you?

You can check out my vlog HERE with a few tips on how I plan my Walgreens trips!

I love Walgreens – each week I have more free items in my cart – i go early Sunday Morning – there is a young man that works the all night shift and he gets a kick out of seeing how little i pay after all the coupons and RR – so if the register Beeps – he just overrides it and keeps going – I love my walgreens – here in El Paso Texas that is the olny drug store we have – Thank You for all your wonderful information each week – Zelda in el paso tx

It is getting more difficult at my Walgreens each week. I wanted to use my rr first today and the cashier told me I have to do Walgreens qs first, then manufacture qs, then rr. She still needed to call the mgr over when the in ad coupon wouldn't work. It is getting more frustrating each week.

Had a great trip to Walgreens today!!! Trans.#1 Zantac deal w/coupon and used previous RR and filler item = 28 cents. Next the Theraflu deal and after coupons paid 3.26. After that did the Theraflu deal added added A LOT of other items mixed in with coupons, rolled the other two RR and only paid 3.02!!! I also got another RR for next weeks deals. I am loving it. Thanks for all the tips and work you put into this.

I started with $21 in RR and $20 in cash (and about 2 hours of shopping)and got $185 of merchandise. I recieved:4 Gillette Razors, 1 Chapstick Fresh Effects, 1 Robitussin to-go, 1 Dentek Floss, 2 Glade 2 oz. jar candles, 2 Glade Scented Oil Candles tins, 14 Glade Scented Oil Candles Refill Packs,5 boxes of Zantac, 1 Halls Refresh, 10 cans of Bumble Bee tuna, 6 Hefty One Zip Storage bags, and 12 Big Rolls of Quilted Northern tp. Plus I still have $9 RR for next week. Or for maybe some more Glade Candles later this week. This week was one of the best for me in weeks. Thank you so much for helping me cut my scenario-planning time in half!

I have a law degree and find shopping at Walgreen's too complicated! I tried it for a couple weeks and just couldn't deal, so I'm back to just CVS for now.

My Walgreens said they will only take one coupon per item. Is this is policy?

No- they allow one manufacturer and one store coupon. Basic Walgreens FAQs are here:

You can try to call Walgreens corporate or talk to the manager of the store. They leave a tremendous amount of authority to the individual stores- if you have a stinker of a store you might try to find another one in your area or just don't shop there anymore.

I agree with Madeline. Walgreen’s is too complicated and I really got tired of all the cheap/junky fillers I had to buy each week that I couldn’t even give away. I am now a full time CVSer and give praise to all of you with the patience for rolling RR’s!
