Walgreens Shoppers- Good News

10/21/2009

I know the ad scan is a bit fuzzy but I was going through next week’s sales and this jumped out at me. Walgreens has not done this in the past and it looks like they are following Rite Aid’s example. This very clearly shows using a coupon on a Register Reward item to get it free. I get tons of emails from you guys that have stores that tell them they can’t get a Register Reward if they use a coupon.
.
According to the ad the price is $7
Get a $4 Register Reward Good on Your Next Transaction
Use $3 coupon Found on Package
Like Getting Purchase Free
.
So Walgreen’s is very clearly saying you CAN use a coupon and still get a Register Reward on the same item. So I am very eager to hear how this goes for those of you with challenging stores next week. I sure hope you are all first in line to stock up on Dulcolax!

Thanks for the info .. Luckily i've never had any problems with Walgreens but i've heard a lot of others have. This should really help them out.

You're welcome! I've learned so much from your site that it's nice to 'give back' when I can!

I was just at Walgreens today and as I often do, I used coupons and do still receive RR just FYI.

There is one cashier at my Walgreens who always always always tries telling me if I use a coupon then I wont get a RR. I’ve explained to her time and time again that I will and I’m always correct. I think I’m going to show this to her just to see if she stops harassing me.
