Are the Theraflu and Triaminic linked at all – the picture in ad shows them together, curious as to if the RR on each will work on the other?

  2. Charlene@frugaladventure says

    10/16/2009 at 7:44 PM

If you are asking if you can mix and match you can- it is the same RR.

  3. Rach says

    I'm confused…

Can we buy the triaminc and the theraflu….and get a RR for both?

Or, can I buy triaminc and use that RR to buy the theraflu?

Any idea which specific ones? what size etc?

  4. Rach says

    10/17/2009 at 6:13 AM

I just looked at the ad and it looks like we can't roll the RR.

Has anyone had trouble printing the Prilosec coupon? When I try, it crashes Firefox. I have also tried in IE and it tries to reload a page and then gives me an error message. I have the same trouble trying to use smartsource.com directly.

Oops, I meant Zantac, not Prilosec. My husband suggested trying a different computer and it printed fine from my son's computer. Weird.

Does Walgreens have a list of month long RR? I have gone to a few different stores and non of them have it posted about the Vaseline Sheer Infusion Lotion.

Today I went to Walgreens to purchase the Huggies diapers, and the manager told me it won't print register reward if you use coupons, and I tried it and got no RR =( Is that true? When did Walgreens change the policy?

  9. Charlene says

    10/17/2009 at 1:34 PM

Anon, Guess what? I heard that at my store for about 6 months when I started couponing. And they were right it wouldn't print a RR. Then one day a cashier pulled me aside and explained they didn't put paper in the catalina machine and that is why my RR would never print. So regardless of how I paid I wouldn't have gotten the reward. If you happen to be in that store again watch that register and see if anything prints- pretty much everyone that checks out should get something- a coupon or an ad- just out of curiosity.

So anyway, the manager is wrong but Walgreens leaves a tremendous amount of discretion to store managers. In my opinion it is fruitless to try and fight them. If there is any chance at all you can find another Walgreens or just shop elsewhere- like CVS. I didn't shop at Walgreens for almost a year after I discovered that they purposely misled me. The other option to call catalina company and ask them why your register reward didn't print. You need the receipt and as long as you bought the correct items they can actually mail you the RR.

    The number is: 877-210-1917.

    10/17/2009 at 10:23 PM

Rach- no you can't roll the Triaminic and Theraflu they are the same deal- you need to rotate with Zantac or Fusion.

My Walgreens doesn't print RRs when you use a coupon. I checked with a cashier and also tried it myself just to make sure. The item I purchased with a coupon gave no RR but when I purchased the same item at the sale price it printed a RR.

  12. Anonymous says

    10/18/2009 at 6:24 PM

No RR for me today when I bought the Zantac with the coupon. I asked the cashier why I didn't get my RR and she didn't know. She called the manager over who also didn't know. He called someone who said if you use a coupon, it won't print a RR. What a bummer!

  13. Charlene says

    10/18/2009 at 6:27 PM

I have no idea what is going on with some of your stores but I have shopped Walgreens for years and have never had a problem (except the one I told you about above) with getting RR when you use a coupon. I would be very curious about what catalina says if anyone that got cheated out of the RR gives them a call. I just did this today and mine printed no problem.

Charlene, I will be contacting catalina tomorrow to see what they have to say. If my 2 year old son who was getting cranky hadn't been with me I would have spent more time with the manager, demanding to get a copy of that policy in writing as it is not in the ads or posted on the catalina machine or near the checkout. It irritates me to no end when stores make up their own policies that aren't in writing anywhere. If it's not printed anywhere, how am I or any other costumer supposed to know about the "policy"?

Charlene, Thank you so much for your posts on wqalgreens. You answer my questions all the time and I am able to roll my RRs in Walgreens successfully and got so much free stuff. The RRs for all the products you posted were printed for me. But one thing didn't work 4 me. I have asked for the healthy savings coupon book both in the Pharmacy and cosmetics, but they have no idea what I am talking about. Where can I get it?
Thanks again for posting such great deals 4 us.

No RR for me last week when I bought the Vaseline lotion, the Emergency-C Immune, or the Robitussin To-Go. ๐Ÿ™

  17. Charlene says

    10/19/2009 at 1:56 PM

I am not aware of a list of Register Rewards for the month anywhere. You will want to look for little red or little blue signs that indicate a Register Reward. I double checked my store this weekend and every single item listed as month long had the little signs. The next time I am in the store I will take a picture of them. Some stores might not be on the ball with POS so just because it isn't marked doesn't mean it won't generate the RR.

Can stamp count as a filler at Walgreens?

  19. Charlene says

    10/21/2009 at 12:18 PM

Yes. Get to know your store though- mine are always out of stamps.

Hey girls, I've become a Walgreen's junkie over the past several weeks, and I just wanted to say that you SHOULD follow up with catalina about the RRs not printing! After reading people's comments (and having terrible time getting them to print at stores like Safeway), I was scared to try all these Walgreens RR deals, but I have used lots of coupons (including the lotion, razor, Zantac, etc. mentioned above) and have gotten EVERY SINGLE RR!! You should too! How ridiculous that they are telling people that it won't print if you use a coupon! They even show that scenario in their ads sometimes (using a coupon and getting RR)! Hope you are all able to resolve those issues soon! Walgreens can be REALLY fun! ๐Ÿ™‚

  21. Carla R. says

    10/22/2009 at 3:19 PM

I forgot to say that I have heard of some stores pulling RR's early (on the ones that are supposed to be a month long), but lots of mine have not been tagged and still printed the RR, so I guess you have to try it and see (or ask, but I've usually heard, "I don't know" when I've asked! ๐Ÿ™‚

For the Glade deal, can I mix & match by buying one 4oz candle and one refill to get the RR? or I have to buy 2 of the same items?

  23. Anonymous says

    10/23/2009 at 8:11 AM

Also, for the Theraflu and Triaminic deal, can I buy 2 Theraflu and 1 Triaminic, or I have to buy 3 of the same products?

  24. Charlene says

    10/23/2009 at 10:56 AM

Anon, You can mix and match in both scenarios. Just take a look at your ad and you will see all the items included in the deal. This late in the week they may be out of stock.

  25. Anonymous says

    10/23/2009 at 1:29 PM

I have never had an issue with getting RR and using coupons on those items. I did it today with coupons for Dentex floss and Vaseline lotion. I just get tripped up on the one coupon per item thing. Thankfully, I had a very nice cashier who was patient as I figured out fillers I had in my cart.
