Have you seen the nifty creaseless hair bands and head bands out there these days?
I love them and you can pick them up in so many fun colors and patterns! Wear them on your wrist when your hair is down and it looks much cuter then a regular hair tie. When your hair is pulled back you won’t get that grody line in your hair. I wear these basically daily and they are so simple to make! They are a lifesaver with my girls too because they pull out smoothly and don’t get tangled in their hair.
The only hiccup is finding the cute patterned elastics.
I have a nice deal for you today if you want to make a few of these- they are a fun (and I swear so simple) project to do with little girls. Or heck with the kids and make them for yourself.
So today you can get 1 yard of elastic for $.99 plus $2.99 shipping. Each yard will make roughly 4 hair ties. So that is about $1 each which is not a great price.
If you want to pick up a few patterns though, it is a better deal because the shipping for each additional color is $.25.
So I bought (4) colors/patterns and my grand total was $7.70. That will make 16 hair ties or $.48 each!
You can get the step by step directions to make the hair ties here. There are some other resources in that post for getting elastic for a little bit less if you really want to make large numbers of them.
I ordered the polka dot and the glitter patterns to make new hair ties and now I can’t wait to get my order!
Head over to Very Jane to see your choices. Please note they have sold a lot so far and may run out.
