I just want to start out by saying I am a little skeptical of this offer so be sure to read through the fine print on this one.
It is offered by a reputable company (Plum District) and it seems too good to be true.
Here is the deal- you can get (2) tickets to either Disneyland or DisneyWorld for $139. That includes round trip airfare and (2) one day passes into the park.
One park ticket alone is starting at $92 for Disneyland so you can see why I am a little skeptical.
The catch on the offer is that you need to book hotel reservations through a company called One Stop Travel. They only have certain hotels they work with and certain cities for the airline tickets. Also there is a minimum stay required.
I tested this just to see what it looks like from my city (Sacramento, CA) to Disneyland. I didn’t see Sacramento listed but I was able to choose to fly out of San Francisco and into Anaheim.
They offered about 5 hotels near the park and I randomly chose the Marriott Anaheim. The price per night for the hotel was $250 and I had a minimum stay of 3 nights.
So that might give you an idea of what you are looking at.
If you want to check out the details on the discounted Disneyland and Disney World tickets head over here. Please note the offer is supposed to run Feb 3-9 only but they may sell out early.
Also note the blackout dates on when you can use your tickets. What do you guys think? I am super tempted to grab this one.
And if you are planning a trip to Disneyland this year, check out my How to Save Money at Disneyland post here.

It looks like you have to stay at select hotels for a mandatory number of nights…wonder if it is good prices?
Leah says
I think the “catch” is the minimum nights stay required? I live in Iowa and they require I stay 6 nights minimum at every hotel.
Charlene says
Well that is nuts Leah. It must vary according to area. Mine was 3 which is reasonable.
Charlene says
Elle- I mentioned what mine looked like but it might vary considerably by region.
Leah says
Oh yes 3 is very reasonable, had mine also been 3 I probably would have purchased! Also I will mention for anyone else that may be thinking about this deal- for me the number of days required was the same regardless of hotel, however the price for each hotel was unique to that hotel.
Carrie says
If you are a family of 4 it will not save you too much because of this. You may purchase more than one voucher, however only one voucher is redeemable per room booked.
Charlene says
Carrie, I think I am confused. If I am a family of 4 and I just pay full price is that better then a family of 4 paying a discounted rate for 2 and then full price for 4? It seems like a discount for half your family is better then no discount at all? Or am I missing something?
Nicole says
It seems that a family of 4 is obligated to book 2 separate rooms over the course of the their stay, if they buy 2 of the deal. I’m not sure how easy it will be to buy one of the deal and book additional airline tickets for the same flight. I don’t see much airline information on the website. Also, departing from the SF Bay Area, DisneyLand is a 3 night stay minimum and DisneyWorld requires a 7 night stay.
Charlene says
Nicole,
I have a family of 4 and I know airline tickets for us to go to LA are $250 each before tickets and before hotel costs to get to Disney. Booking the same flight is something that might be a consideration but if you bought 2 package deals I would think the travel agency would have that headache? If you bought one package deal and booked the other 2 people on your own, then it would be your problem and you might not get the same flight depending on how quickly you wanted to leave.
rachael says
I looked into this, when they had a similar deal to SeaWorld. So as a family of four the offer would look like this-
The $139 voucher is only for two people so you need to buy 2 vouchers. Additionally, you need to purchase the required hotel minimum (which for two vouchers would be 6 nights for a 3 night stay, 12 nights for 6 nights stay, and so on)
$139
$139
$250 x 6 (The price of 2 rooms for 3 nights)
This equals out to be $1,778 for the hotel, flight and Disneyland tickets. Not a horrible price, but you would still have to deal with the inconvenience of flying out of S.F. instead of Sacramento, and the Disneyland tickets are for only one day. So you would either have to buy additional park tickets or find something else to do.
Charlene says
Rachael,
An alternate plan:
$139
$139
$162– child’s park pass for 2 days
$162– children’s park pass for 2 days
Hotel Stay for 3 nights $250 = $750
Subtotal $1352
And then the cost of airfare for 2 additional people- roughly $200 per person on SWA from SFO to LAX
That would be about the same- $1752.
So the option is there to just buy one voucher and pay for the other two people to travel. And I am not at all arguing for the deal- just trying to think it through ;). I hate driving to SFO so that probably makes this a no go for us.
Charlene says
Oh and airport parking 😛 Can’t forget that!
Analisa says
It sounds like a decent deal for those able to book only three nights. Especially if there are just two of you. If you have to book six nights though tickets might be an issue. The problem is that *most* of the time tickets that aren’t sold directly through Disney or their partners aren’t able to be upgraded. After figuring what we’d pay for the voucher, the six night minimum hotel stay, and paying for more park tickets it just isn’t a good deal. Last year we were able to go for free dining which is the best discount for us. For two adults and a toddler we were able to stay onsite for a week (which means free transportation) with an upgraded dining plan and park hoppers for every day and we payed under $2000 not including plane tickets. This was for Disney World. If I could have snagged a voucher for just three nights and had someone to leave our toddler with, my husband and I probably would have jumped on the deal. Hopefully it worked out well for someone though. There is nothing like going to Disney!
Charlene says
Analisa- now you have to spill it for us! How do we get upgrades :).
Analisa says
Sorry to get your hopes up! I meant paying to upgrade the days on your tickets. I’m still wishing for the day that we get upgraded to some incredible room or resort we’d never be able to afford haha! I meant that depending on how Disney views your ticket, you can upgrade/exchange your ticket to a more expensive one and pay the difference. Say you bought a one day ticket, but want to put that one day ticket price towards a more expensive ticket. You can go to the ticket booth before the end of the day that you’re using it on, and then you can pay the difference. Since the more days you have on your ticket the cheaper each day becomes, this can save a decent amount of money. This works better for Disney World I guess since most people go for at least four days. I would love to go back to Disneyland, but it seems like we get much more for our money going to Disney World. Now, if you’re ever headed to Florida I can share everything you’d need to know. I’ve got getting the least expensive, but still full Disney experience down to a science 😉
tammy says
Analisa, I would love to hear how to save at Disney World. We are headed this September!!
Analisa says
Sure thing Tammy! If you’re going in late September, Disney usually releases a discount that gives you a free dining plan if you’re staying at a Disney resort. They won’t announce this for a few more months though. There are a few good travel agencies out there that will keep an eye on it for you and give you the best discounts they can find. Staying at a Disney resort might seem overpriced at first, but if all you’re doing is going to Disney the perks are worth it. You get free transportation too and from the airport, free transportation from your hotel to anywhere else at Disney, extra magic hours, and access to the dining plan. One of the best ways we saved money last year was buy buying Disney giftcards at Target using our Redcard. We got 5% off which really adds up. These seem to be the easiest ways we save the most amount of money. There are of course other little things like asking for a free cup of water, eating a late breakfast buffet (basically lunch for a lower price…Ohana is our favorite!), watching fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian (free!), watching the animals at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (also free!), and watching the Disney Store website for free shipping days and discounts on things like autograph books. My husband and I actually met working there in college so its a really special place for us. We’ve gone back as a couple a few times, and also as a family. A vacation to Disney doesn’t have to be obscenely expensive in order to have a good time, trust me!
