Here is a new offer for Starbucks Coffee fans.
You can purchase a Groupon to Safeway stores and the Groupon price is $9.00.
You will enter your Club Card number in at checkout for the Groupon. They will let you know when it is available (usually 24 hrs) and then it is loaded straight to your club card.
By a bag of coffee at Safeway and use your club card and the coffee is free.
You will also receive an egift for a $5 Starbucks gift card to use. at Starbucks stores.
The e-gifts usually work just like a normal gift card- either use it to reload an existing gift card or just print it and use it when you go.
So providing you are a Starbucks fan or you might need a little $5 gift, it is kind of like paying $4.00 for the coffee.
I don’t see locations specified by I did contact Groupon and was told this is only for Safeway stores (not Vons or Dominicks) and only in Northern CA, Washington and Oregon.

Woohoo! It worked! I got the groupon, then got 4 bags at Safeway. Used coupons on the bags and then input the 4 stars in. They haven’t updated yet. I also got a $5 off a Starbucks card bought at Safeway Catalina. It might not end up working perfectly, but so far so good! Thanks Charlene! 🙂
Oh great! So my stuff came through last night- it seems to take about a week or so. I got an email containing a coupon for the free cup of coffee and one for the free food item. Then they said my $10 was on the way.
I went to Safeway today and forgot to get the coffee, doh! I’ll go back tomorrow or Saturday and let you know.
It worked perfectly,coffee was free at Safeway. And I was able to load the $5 e card onto my card on my Starbucks account. So all in all a $1MM for me 🙂
