Here is a new S’Mores Printable coupon for $1.25 off when you buy Honey Made Graham Crackers, Jet Puffed Marshmallows and Hershey’s Bars.
Who doesn’t love a S’More really and this is a fall back dessert in our house all summer long (all year long- who am I kidding.) Just keep these three items in your pantry and pop them in the micro for a few seconds and you have the yummiest dessert in no time at all.
Walmart is also running a contest right now- upload a photo of your family enjoying your s’mores and you will be entered to win a $500 Walmart gift card.
I wanted to pass along a little tip for those of you with children in particular that might be travelling this summer.
I have actually been meaning to post all this as part of a series on saving at Disneyland. We go every year and I have a few little tips for you (hopefully coming soon- maybe next week?)- but this might be useful to those of you travelling this summer.
I like to pack a few little things for the hotel room and to keep my lovely girls happy. (This is a great thing to have when you stay with family members that might not be equipped for small children- this pack I take when we stay at Grandpa’s house.)
I pack super light so this takes very little space and it can come in handy for those off hours you spend in your hotel room. (Especially for those with kiddos that need naps and bigger kids that do not nap.)
I pack 3 things specifically for the hotel room- we usually try to stay in hotels that offer a little kitchen/microwave area.
1. S’Mores! We go to the beach a few times a year and it is so easy to pack the Hershey’s Bars, marshmallows and graham crackers and you can pop them in the microwave for a few seconds and have a perfect S’More! These are so fun for the kiddos- a super inexpensive and yummy dessert and I usually make these at night and we can sit on the patio/balcony and enjoy the sunset.
2. Ivory Soap. You probably aren’t going to have the regular supply of bathtub toys on hand so here is something fun and easy. Pack up your Ivory soap and a piece of wax paper. You pop this in the micro for a few seconds and you will get a big fluffy ivory soap cloud for them to play with in the tub! So easy and cheap and nothing to haul back with you home- plus the kiddos will be extra clean after getting dirty on vacation.
3. Games/Toys- I pack some puzzles because those can be done anywhere. We can lay them out on the hotel table or on the patio or airport and it keeps the children occupied and takes up next to no space in luggage. Another idea is some sort of card game or travel game. Last year I packed Memory- which again can be laid out anywhere and takes up very little space. You can find stuff like this for about $1 at Target or Dollar Stores so no biggie if pieces get lost or you leave them behind at the hotel.
So that is my hotel survival pack.
So you can grab that S’Mores coupon now and then get your own hotel survival pack all set to go this summer.

Love these ideas!!! We take dice and play farkle. A reccomendation for kids that can read is the card game “would you rather” . It is cards to read that ask questions like “Would you rather live in a shrub or a billboard.” Works in the car, in the hotel, at the beach, while waiting in line. The grandparents even play with the girls.

Oh Charlene! Love these ideas! We have been wanting to get down to Disneyland this year. I vowed to my 5 year old that we will go before he starts kindergarten! That is in August. I’ll be watching for your Disneyland tips for sure!!

When we travel by car I always have a box full of books (old favorites and new ones), stickers are big hit too. You can get sticker book at Michaels for 1.99 (use 50% off) and you will have 1 hour of fun for just $1. New coloring book with new box of crayons are great too.
