Hi,
Just wanted to let everyone know that the Purex laundry sheets coupon excludes the ‘to-go’ packs which are usually priced at $1 or less. Is there somewhere else to get these for $1 that is not a 2-pack?
Thanks!

Charlene,
When I printed my Target Q’s the one for Soft Scrub Total says “With Bleach” . They wouldn’t let me use it on the ones that were on sale. Do you have issue w/target scrutinizing every coupon you use? Every time I go, they call a manager over. Did your coupon say “with bleach”?
Thanks,
Jen

Went to Walmart the other day with the nasal strips coupon (get these for my husband). I had 10 from swapping online and they of course beeped. I showed her the coupon policy in which she called someone over, don’t believe a manager came because that person also called another employee over which was the manager because I have talked to him before. He said he needed to ask for approval and went back with my coupons and policy. He came back and stated the coupons said per purchase. I explained that it was per item, not transaction which some coupons do state. He handed the coupons and policy back to the 2nd guy that arrived after the cashier called for a manager and he said that I was trying to rip the store off and I explained they get their money back from the coupon. He said he doesn’t see it that way. I told him I didn’t want all the nasal strips then. Before checking out with the rest of my items I asked for my policy back and he refused and said that he was keeping it for records. I told him that you can get it online and he walked away. I’m really disappointed, I not only held up the line, but every one else was looking at me like I was ripping the store off.

I dont think he has the right to take your personal property(coupon policy you brought in). What a jerk. I would call corporate, and make a stink!

Shelly,
I had a similar situation a few weeks ago at walmart when I bought the dial lotion ($2.00 off coupon – $1.97 for the lotion.) I spent an hour checking out due to the poorly trained cashiers and management. People were literally yelling at me….but I wasn’t leaving without my free lotion! I got so mad because the manager kept making up her own rules…..like 17 coupons is our system’s limit and if the coupon says it expires today, you can’t use it today. I would have rather her said she had no idea about the coupon policy rather than make one up of her own!! To top it off, she acted like she was too busy to deal with me. When I said just give me my coupons back and I’ll take it up with corporate, she took me to another register and called another manager on the phone who proceeded to tell her I WAS right! She was still super rude to me, but I let her be. I’m working on a letter to the store manager at the moment explaining in detail what happened. I thought it was highly unacceptable to be treated like criminal just for using coupons….and I wasn’t even doing anything wrong! I knew sooner or later I’d have to deal with something like this, but it’s so frustrating!
Jennifer says
When you say “overage after coupon” does that mean that that additional amount will be subtracted from your total? Or that if that’s all you bought, they’d actually owe you money? Or once you hit $0 or below, do they just count it as $0? THANKS!
Rebecca says
Shelly that’s horrible enough to make one run from the store and never come back. So sorry to hear of your experience. I don’t shop at Walmart cause I’ve found myself that they have trouble with ours sticking to their own policies.
If you have one around you I’d try Walgreens w/your nasal strip coupons. They stock those I’ve used the same coupons and had no problems.

Is there a tactic to couponing at Target? Like, should I hand over manufacturer coupons before Target coupons or does it not make a difference? Thanks.

Can you use Target coupons at Walmart?

I have also had problems with my WM and coupons, line held up, asst. mngr clueless. They didn’t know whether they could take a cpn I had printed!
Lincy says
Where do I find the P&G coupons???
Charlene says
Lincy the date of the coupon inserts are all listed. If you did not purchase the newspaper the week listed- for example February 27th- you will not be able to go back and get those coupons.
Tracey says
Great deals! Got many of them today, some more than once. Turns out two Targets I went to here don’t carry Revlon nail implements at all. So bummed!
Nancy says
I tried to use a $1 off coupon for colgate toothpaste that was on sale for .97cents @ target and was told I couldn’t use it because it was more than the cost of the toothpaste. I also had a hard time convinsing the cashier that they advertise that they match other stores sales prices for the same exact items. I guess it’s all comes down to the luck of the draw as to who your cashier is & if they understand the using of coupons.
Charlene says
Nancy- actually no they have a coupon policy published on the web site. Price matching is done at customer service and if you have trouble with your coupons you can go to customer service and they are usually much more helpful. The other option is to call Target customer service directly from the store and they will set them straight. These policies are linked to at the top of every Target weekly coupon post that I do, you can print them out if needed and just ask for a store manager or try the other options above. Sometimes you need to train your store to follow policies and then it gets much easier 🙂

Thankyou for your reply & the coupon policy, but I do have 1 more ? so if the coupon is more than the sales price their to give you the whole amont off that is stated on the coupon? I thought they only took off the amount of the item & you lost the rest.
Charlene says
Right. They will get reimbursed for the full value by the manufacturer so it stinks for us. A lot of the time you will get what is called “overage” which is the difference between the item and the coupon- in this case .03. But some cashiers are very zealous and they will insist on adjusting it down. That is actually what the coupon policy says so that is what they should do. The only store that will actually give you overage is Walmart. They will apply it to your bill or actually hand you .03.
Jen says
So is that for sure the case w/coupons? Say the item is .97 & you have a q for $1 off, but the cashier only gives you the .97 cents off for the q. Does the company get paid .97 cents that they adjusted the q for or do they get paid $1 plus .08 cents for handling the coupon? It’s frustrating, if the latter is the case b/c why then, are we treated like we’re stealing an item we got “for free” when in actuality, we paid them w/a coupon? Aren’t they actually stealing from us? Or, the company? They are making a 11 cent profit off the item, correct?
Charlene says
Well yes pretty much Jen 🙂 I don’t know why they behave like that. I think sometimes it is jealously and sometimes it is a little fear they will get in trouble because you got something free and probably a lack of information too. I think there are couponers that are unethical that ruin it for everyone too. If a store has a bad experience from one person one time, it takes a long time to turn things back around.
