Sam’s Club 15 weeks for $15

Sam’s Club is offering a 15 week membership for $15.  This runs from September 29-October 10.

I want to say an entire year at Sam’s is $30- so I think this is a good deal if you just want to do some holiday shopping but it might not be that great otherwise.

We just bought a year membership at Sam’s and it was 40.00

Here it is $40 for a membership! I had it one year and the prices were often higher than just buying it at WalMart or Target! So it was not worth that year! I just got a free 60 day membership in the mail though! That will be nice for over the holidays as they seem to lower the prices during that time of the year!

Can somebody tell me what is a good deal to buy at Sam’s Club for just a couple with no kids?

Yunnie- Personally I find Costco cheaper but the nice thing about Sam’s is that there aren’t as many people. You might just go and have a look and just make a list of stuff you buy all the time. For me, at Costco we buy cheese in bulk because 32oz is $4.50 and that is a great price. I like the produce too but often times it is more expensive- you just really need to know your prices. I buy giant bags of tortillas and hamburger buns and stuff like that. It all freezes really well. We also get the Costco dog food.

Otherwise- I personally think it is temptation to overbuy 😉 You never knew you needed 15 lbs of basmati rice until you go to a club store and suddenly wonder how you lived without it.

I think this is a great opportunity for those that want to test out the membership before they obligate themselves.

The thing is, though, you’re never obligated to keep your membership. You can cancel at Sam’s or Costco at any time, and you get a full refund. So Sam’s is upcharging 30% for 15 weeks worth of shopping, when you’d be better off just getting a full membership, and then canceling in 6 or 9 months, and getting your $40 or $100 back.
