Reader Susan passed along a possible deal at CVS. I haven’t tested this and I’d love to hear from any of you that have!
This week Gillette and Old Spice are $4 and get a $4 ECB back. The limit is supposed to be 1 but some people are actually getting $8 in ECB back- so it appears the limit is really 2!
You can use the BOGO coupons for Old Spice or for Gillette in the 6/6 P&G.ย You will pay $4 and you should (hopefully) get $8 back.ย If you still have the $4/2 Gillette coupons from 5/2 P&G you can try using that as well.ย The last time they ran this sale, I used both coupons and just paid tax and got $8 back!
See the rest of this week’s CVS deals HERE.
Thanks Susan and Cutting Costs with Coupons!
(EDITED: Note this deal is not in the ad for Nor CA this week.ย If you live in So CA be sure to double check your ad as well!)
Julia @ The Frugal Find says
I didn’t see this in the Northern CA ad – did I just miss it?
Charlene says
I haven’t looked at the CA ad yet Julia, but it was on the last page of the nationwide ad next to Schick Hydro.
Julia @ The Frugal Find says
I’m not home right now, but I didn’t see it. I scanned it fairly carefully too. Bummer.
Judith says
I can’t find that deal at the CVS ad in Sacramento…:(
Amy T. says
Not in the YC ad ๐
Charlene says
Judith- as Julia mentioned you always have to double check the No CA ad before you go to CVS. There are usually 3 ads for CVS and I have absolutely no idea why. There is a nationwide ad that is the same for the entire country. Then there is an ad with a few difference in Nor CA as you saw today. Then there is yet another ad with a few difference in So CA. The ad I work off is the nationwide ad so when there are a few differences in the ads I don’t always notice them. I can not get an advance copy of the Nor CA ad from CVS so I don’t know what variations it will be until I actually get my Sunday paper. I make a note at the top of every weekly post for CVS but I will make an extra note on this specific deal.
Stella says
I didn’t see it in the Auburn ad Charlene- but no biggie! You told us before to always double check our ads and I looked for this first thing so I didn’t waste a trip.
Thanks for all your work! I will just head to Walgreens instead!
Kristin says
I get my CVS ad on Saturday morning so if you want to double check anything, you can e-mail me and I will be happy to let you know what is/is not in our No. Ca ad ๐
Rachel says
No Go on the CA central Coast… no Schick coupons either. I wonder why we don’t get all the inserts. It’s hit and miss… bummer. I bought 2 papers in hopes of scoring some good deals.
Larena says
It worked for me in Ohio. I bought 2 old spice, used the BOGO coupon and go 8 ECB back.
Charlene says
Rachel I did get the Schick Hydro coupon in the Bee this morning. I didn’t see the Gillette Fusion skincare coupon that was supposed to be in the paper though.
tereza says
not in nevada either. but at least nivea is bogo
Lori says
No Gillette or Old Spice deal in the bay area either. Could it be that we already have this deal a few weeks ago? I did spot a good deal on one dozen Grade AA eggs for .88 each with a limit of 3.
Charlene says
I don’t think it is in CA at all Lori. No- the deal should be back around so we just got cheated. Tereza- I think some parts of NV get the same ad as Nor CA because you guys got CVS the same time we did right? When they bought Long’s?
Poop- I was looking forward to 4 gallons of free milk this week.
Josie says
No Old spice in So Cal!
nichole says
I bought two because I had a cvs coupon from the scanner for save $2 on a $6 purchase of body wash so I used that and a bogo Gillette
so $4×2 =$8-$2 cvs body wash copuon =6-$4 bogo coupon= $2-$1 cvs bag tag reward = $1 plus $8 rewards back ๐
Love it!
PollyS says
We’re part of the No. Cal ad here in No. Nevada. Bummer. I thought this was a good deal.
Tina says
Bought two gillete body wash, used one BOGO coupon and got 8 ECB back! That was a nice surprise on my receipt!
Rebecca says
The deal is not in the SoCal ad, and I went to the store and it wasn’t labeled there either.
Dolly says
I did it this morning…..I bought 2 at 4.00 each..used the BOGO coupon and it took off 4.99(the reg price) and then i got back 8.00 in extra bucks…also the coupon machine printed me a $2 off a $6 bodywash purchase…$6.99 profit
Erin says
Did this with Gillette this morning in Chicago!
Dallas says
No Gillette or Old Spice down here in So Cal =(
Charlotte says
I got 8.00 in ECB’s back as well
Tiffany says
I am in the Sacramento area – I even went and double checked at my CVS. I scanned the items and no luck! So its not even a hidden deal here …. bummer! My husband loves this stuff and I was looking forward to making a couple bucks off of it! Oh well!
Charlene says
Alison I planned to either get milk or to get a free OPI polish as a treat ๐ They are $8.50 at CVS. There was a rebate for Visine in today’s RP so maybe you can buy that and get your money back in a rebate check.
Lisa says
Yup, it works! I’m in NY, did the deal today – used BOGO from PG 6/6, got 2 old spice, paid $4, got $8 back. Even better – some people are getting $2 off any $6 body wash purchase! Just give it in first before the BOGO coupon.
Samantha says
Yep, worked over here in Pennsylvania this morning.
Cindy says
I did this this morning and I got $8.00 so yes it’s two! Yippee!!!!!
Cheyenne says
I got 2 Gillette Body Washes (my hubby doesn’t like Old Spice) and used the BOGO, paid $4 and got $8 in ECBs. A $4 moneymaker, woohoo!
Michelle says
I got $8.00 back too!
Betsy says
Worked in KY. First CVS didn’t get any Old Spice or Gilette in this week, but the second had a good supply. Used a bogo coupon, pd 48 cents and rec’d 8 ECBs back!!
Danielle says
I made 8 off this deal, i used the gilette bogo coupon plus the $4/2 off coupon, paid tax and pocketed $8 in ECB woohoo!! and I got 20 in ECB for the sears gift cards..spent 100 at sears today and am getting 100 back in sears rebates YAY my fathers day shopping is DONE!! Thanks Charlene!
Lori says
Worked for me! Didn’t have the $4/2 coupon (spent it on another sale), but the register charged $4 each, took off $4.59 on the BOGO, then gave back $8, so I won’t complain.
First time I had a cashier who obviously hated couponers. First got mad at me for using a raincheck. Then got madder when I used coupons with the raincheck. Then got even madder because I reminded him that the raincheck stated I should receive last week’s ECB. Once the two gift cards went on the bill, he seemed a bit happier, but when I asked him if he scanned my bag tag, he lied. Still, I’m not going to fuss over it, just made certain to be nice and pleasant and wish him a wonderful day! (At least it wasn’t my normal store, so I hope I don’t have to deal with him again!)
