Shopping Trip! CVS, Walgreens and Target

010I will repost my drugstore deals later this week with my complete grocery spending- but I wanted to post this early for a few reasons:

1.  Those free Zooth toothbrushes at Walgreens and CVS are seriously cute!  I am using them as stocking stuffers because my toddler LOVES toothbrushes.  She is going to be tickled to death to get these.  I also got the bandaids free at Walgreens and believe it or not those are going into her stocking too!  She is crazy about bandaids and I bet she likes these more than the expensive toys she gets this year!  I know some of you are working on basically no budget for the holidays and I wanted to encourage you to find these little items that can be used to make your kiddos holiday.  Now a 13 year old girl is probably not going to want the Barbie band aids but what about the free hair care products, or body wash, or .49 Nivea lip balms?  These toothbrushes are also great for donation boxes!  There are a lot of children out there that would love a race car toothbrush!  These would be cute (and practical) party favors too.

2.  I bought 4 boxes of band aids today and I would have liked to get 20!  We go through band aids like nobody’s business and I am telling you my toddler is going to really be thrilled to get 4 boxes this year of her own.  My store had about 20 boxes total and just a reminder that a lot of people really depend on these deals and I get emails almost every week from readers that are upset that their stores were totally wiped out of product.  If you would like a large supply of an item you can always call your store in advance and preorder.  I called my store tonight and they are getting a new shipment in on Thursday.  I will head back for more bandaids then- so if you miss out due to empty shelves they may get more in stock!  Just call and ask.

So off the soapbox and onto the breakdown!

I was really pleased with how Walgreens worked out today! I did 2 transactions and spent a total of $5.98- I have $7 in RR that I will use later this week when my store restocks.
T#1:
(2) Bandaids at $1.50 each- used Walgreens activity book coupon which took off $3 total
(2) Oral B Floss at $2.50 each- used (2) $1 off coupons
Final Price: 3.41 and got $3 for the Floss and $1 for the bandaids

T#2:
(2) Bandaids $1.50 each- used activity book coupon
(4) Zooth at 4/$10- used (2) $1/2 coupons and used $1/1 activity book coupons
Used $3 Register Reward from prior transaction
Final Price: $2.57 and I got $5 back from Zooth and $1 from Band Aid!

CVS: 0 oop- I just wanted the free toothbrush and milk and of course I scanned my card and got a $5/15 coupon! So I threw a quick scenario together.
(Remember the CA ad is totally different so we don’t usually get the great ECB deals here or this would have been a lot better!)
2 Gallons Milk $2.69
(3) S&W Beans $1.19- used Buy 2 Get 1 coupon (no longer available)
(2) Diet Coke $1.50 each
Zooth $2.49- used $1 off coupon
Dawn Dish Soap $.99- used $1 off coupon
Used the $5/15 coupon
Used $7.82 in ECBs and paid 0- then I got $3 ECB back for a net spent of 4.82. That is less than the 2 gallons of milk so overall a good deal!

Then I popped into Target for the Command hooks to hang holiday decorations. They were .94 each after coupons.

What inserts did you find the Real California coupons for the milk? My CVS has them now! If you don’t know or don’t have the time to look for them that’s okay.

I love your blog. Thanks for ALL that you do!!!

Sabrina- I don’t have time to look it up right now but you can just go to hotcouponworld.com and look for the coupon generator and type in the coupon you want! Play with it too- like Real CA Milk, Real California Milk etc..

I pre-ordered some toothbrushes and was told the Zooth ones were being discontinued. I thought they were cute too!
