There are many a day when I am positive I will be buried alive under the piles of laundry. My husband will come home to find my feet peeking out from under a small mountain. I don’t know how four people can generate so much laundry but it is a daily (yes daily) chore in the MFA household. So as you can imagine I have tried just about every brand of detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheet on the market. My expectations aren’t terribly high- I just want clean clothes that aren’t heavily fragranced. Simple.
I was really excited to try the Dropps Laundry Detergent. They are compact little pellets that are super concentrated and eco-friendly. It was so refreshing to just toss a little pellet in the wash rather than hoist the big detergent bottle and deal with measuring it out! My toddler has recently decided that she wants to help with everything so she was quite thrilled to be able to pop the little Dropps into the washing machine. The little pellets are so clean and actually look attractive in the laundry room. With my regular liquid soap I have spills and drips that make a mess and I have to try and cram everything into the cupboards so the room looks tidy.
I tried the new Dropps baby which is dye free and enzyme free. My baby has very sensitive skin and she has had reactions to other laundry detergents I have used in the past. The Dropps passed the Maya test though- and she didn’t have any irritation from the product at all. Also, I don’t mind a mild fragrance but I recently tried a premium laundry soap that left such a strong fragrance on our clothes it wound up giving me headaches. This product was virtually fragrance free- just left everything smelling clean.
The other aspect to this product that I loved is on super big loads. I wash our comforter weekly and it takes up the entire washing machine. It is a pain with liquid laundry soap because I often have streaks of soap left after washing. The little Dropps worked perfectly in super full loads and dissolved quickly without leaving behind any residue.
You can find Dropps products at a variety of stores, including CVS, Amazon and Babies R Us or direct from Dropps HERE. They are a little more expensive than regular laundry soap- about $6.39 for 26 loads at CVS for the Dropps baby- but it is a lot less expensive than other green laundry products I have seen. The other nice thing is that you will really get 26 loads out of the package, unlike liquid soaps which are easy to over pour.
Wanna add a little fun to your laundry? Well Dropps wants you to check out the product as well! I have a 3 month supply of Dropps available for one lucky reader!
