This week’s $30 shopping: Safeway, Walmart, WAGs

Whew- I took advantage of a toddler free afternoon to get some shopping in!

Safeway:

Folgers $8.99

Ritz x4 $8.05 (used (2) $2/2 MQ)

Birdseye Veggies x 3 $9 (used 3 free wyb Steamfresh meal q)

Total was around $52 before coupons and AFTER club card. Also used $10/50 store coupon, $10 chill at home catalina. Paid $8.79 on a gift card* and got another $10 catalina for next time.

*I have a Rx for prenatal vitamins and transferred it to Safeway and got a $30 gift card. I paid $15 for the Rx to net a $15 profit. I count the $15 Rx cost toward my budget which left me $15 to spend this week.

Walmart:

*There were also .46 boxes that would have given me overage but I prefer to take the easy road and pay .08 than have a possible fight with a snippy cashier.

kicking myself for not cutting the .55/1 MQ from this week’s inserts.

*We budgeted $10 for the ink cartridge refill from another account and I did the Huggies deal anticipating using the catalina for that. I didn’t realize the cartridges were on sale for $5 this week so I quickly grabbed the Essencia by Samy shampoo which was $5.99 with a TMF rebate attached. Turns out it was BOGO so I grabbed a conditioner. Had I taken the time to read the rebate I would have grabbed a styler instead which would have netted an extra $3 rebate or $8.99 total. As it stands I paid $1.79 total and will get $5.99 back.

Grand Total $29.33- I also have a $3.00 rebate that arrived so I will make a quick trip to Costco on Monday to get a block of cheddar cheese.

I will get $5.99 back from the shampoo and $1.50 back from Caregivers for the diapers.
