We are fortunate to have an awkward closet under our staircase that I have turned into stockpile headquarters. Since the closet is just off the kitchen I have all our food products tucked safely away.
We are slowly replacing all the ugly brass fixtures in the bathrooms and recently found myself with an extra towel bar. In my constant pursuit of thriftiness I mounted the towel bar on the wall of the closet and discovered it holds a ton of linens. It keeps them fresh and (mostly) wrinkle free and takes up almost no space. I have already earmarked the next rack we replace for the entry closet. This will be a great spot to store our scarves and hang mittens in the winter.
