If you have read this blog for more than 5 seconds you may have guessed I have a SERIOUS sweet tooth. I love fresh baked goods and chocolate chip cookies are at the top of the list. This is the best recipe ever and really does make those soft chewy cookies you spend a fortune for at the mall. My frugal twist is to skip the chocolate chips. I hate paying $2/bag so I stockpile free chocolate like crazy. I then chop up the chocolate and use it in the cookies- that has the added benefit of looking even more gourmet. These were made using Dove dark chocolate.

Hi Carrie- To be honest I always think outside the box so I never have to tell myself no 🙂 Instead of saying I can’t make cookies tonight- no choc chips- I say how can I possibly make the cookies w/o choc chips.
