I finally registered for Ebates today, it is a cash back program and is a super simple way to earn money back on online purchases. You just register HERE and every time you want to make an online purchase- you do a quick search for a store and it will tell you the cash back amount. (The percentage varies according to store.) You click on the store link- it will take you straight to the home page and do your shopping as usual.
.
Then quarterly, you will receive a rebate check for the total amount in your account. Easy! Every little bit adds up- so for example, JC Penney is currently offering 3% cash back. So with a $30 purchase you will get about $1 back. Not every much I know, but every little bit counts! Other places- like Restaurant.com offer 15% back on purchases! Over the course of 3 months I bet the totals add up quickly. Especially with all the incredible deals we have been getting lately!
.
I was surprised to find when I signed up they are offering a promotion- choose a $10 gift card to Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Office Max or $25 to Dell for new accounts! They will ship you the gift card if you hit $5.01 in rebates within 30 days. Might as well give it a whirl. You can register HERE for Ebates.
.
PS: The bummer with these programs is that Amazon doesn’t participate so you won’t earn cash back from them- but you will from Ebay!
Also when I logged on it gave me the option of selecting my gift card before I did anything else. Please let me know if you don’t see that option as it might mean the promotion has ended.

They also offer a 2% cash back rebate on Ebay, which is great! I use it every time I make an Ebay purchase! Also, Resturant.com give a 15% cash back rebate though ebates!

Thank you for this info, yet I just signed up for EBates and no screen popped up or email was received from me regarding the special promotion offer to sign up for a Free $10 gift card as you stated. Can you post an update to share just how you received this offer?
Charlene says
When I signed up the first screen had the gift card offer and it allowed me to choose one of the four cards. Did that not happen for you? Click on the very top of the screen where it says total cash next to your name. Then click on cash pending. It should say the gift card is pending there?

Thanks for the info! Do you know if the rebate is taken from the pre-coupon total or post-coupon?
Charlene says
You know I am not sure. I would think post coupon but maybe not? Does anyone else know?
