Easy slow cooker ham
Ingredients
  • Bone in or boneless ham (7-8 lb)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1½ cup brown sugar (separated)
  • ½ cup pineapple juice (optional)
Instructions
  1. Add about ½ cup of water or pineapple juice to the bottom of the slow cooker. Just enough to cover the bottom of the slow cooker but not actually soak the ham.
  2. Next add about 1 cup of brown sugar to the water/juice and stir.
  3. Add the ham into the Crock Pot.
  4. In a small bowl mix the mustard, syrup and remaining ½ cup brown sugar.
  5. Coat the ham with the mixture and set to cook for 5 hours on low.
  6. Add the lid to the Crock Pot and check after 3 hours.
  7. You might want to quickly baste the ham with the liquid at the bottom of the pan.
  8. Check again at 4 hours and again at 5 hours.
  9. Some older Crock Pots or larger size hams might take up to 6 hours to cook.
  10. Remove ham from crock and allow to rest for about 10 minutes.
  11. Discard the water at the bottom of the slow cooker.
