There is a nice sale on organic oranges from Whole Foods. Usually I feel like $.99/lb or less is a good price for regular oranges so to get organic for $.79 is a great deal.

This sale is running Friday, Feb 3rd only while supplies last. The stores typically do not provide rainchecks and I have found that they do tend to sell out of these deals early.

I noticed this week that my local grocery stores are offering great deals on oranges so you might actually find a better deal at your local store.

This should be a nationwide promotion at all Whole Foods locations.  If you happen to live in Arizona, they are substituting Valencia oranges instead.

It looks like each store will determine any limits so you can contact your store for more information.

Whole Foods will have a sale on whole chicken on Friday only. The chicken is not organic but it is all natural, no antibiotics or byproducts in the feed- so a very high quality chicken.

This is whole, uncooked chicken and there is a limit of 10 per person.  At this price, it is very affordable for everyone!

Since the limit per person is so high, I am guessing they will have a lot of inventory.  I just wanted to remind you though that they do not offer rainchecks and when a store sells out, it is out and that is that.

I dragged the girls to Whole Foods last Saturday for the turkey sale and got there at 9.30 am (the sale was 8-11am) and they were completely out.  Apparently people were lined up outside the store before the sale started.  So it is always a good idea to get there as early as you can or you can always call ahead to confirm inventory if you will be going after work.

I just wanted to mention a Whole Foods sale for those that live in Northern California and Reno. They are offering a 10-12lb organic whole turkey for 40% off from 8am-11am Saturday 5th only.

The prices range from $3.29-4.49 before discount so as low as $1.97/lb.

If you are interested in organic products that is really an excellent price.  I intend to buy my turkey tomorrow.

This was posted on the Whole Foods Facebook wall for my local store and the fine print says “Northern CA and Reno.”  It might not hurt to just call ahead to your local store just in case to confirm.   There is a limit of 2 and no rainchecks.

If you can’t make that sale or you live in another area, you should hopefully be able to get organic turkey for about $2.50/lb this year at Costco.

There are great deals on flour and chocolate chips this week as well!

Whole Foods: $.69 Chocolate Chips

11/02/2011

Share

Here is another reason to hit Whole Foods this week. In the new Whole Foods coupon booklets (available for free at the front of the store) you can find a coupon for $2 off Whole Foods 365 Chocolate Chips in a 12oz bag.

The chocolate chips are priced at $2.29-2.69 at many stores- so use the coupon and pay $.29-.69 per bag!

I did stop into Whole Foods before Zumba tonight and it absolutely worked for me. The coupon went through fine and there are several varieties included- the semi-sweet variety was the only one priced at $2.69.

The cashier that rang me up said a memo went out today and the coupon should have been published for $.50 not $2.00. So if you want this deal you might head out soon. There is a chance they will pull these coupons.

Also, note prices can vary by store so you can always call ahead and just confirm prices before you head out.  The other varieties were $3.99 at my store.

I got the flour as well- just $.19 for a bag!

(Thanks Frugal Find!)

If you are planning a trip to Whole Foods in the near future, you might want to keep an eye out for this deal:

Arrowhead Organic Flour is priced at $2.00 (2lbs)
Use the $1/1 Arrowhead Coupon
Final Price: $1!

If your store allows you to stack coupons (mine does but many of them don’t)

Arrowhead Organic Flour is priced at $2.00 (2lbs)
Use the $1/1 Arrowhead Coupon
and Use the $1/1 Arrowhead coupon from the Whole Foods coupon booklet
Final Price: FREE!

The thing with Whole Foods is that each store might have different prices so if you plan to make a special trip, you might call ahead and just confirm what the price is before you head out.

(Thanks Healthy Life Deals and  Organic Deals!)

UPDATE:  I checked this out and there were a few varieties of flour included at my store for $2.19- so I paid $.19 for a bag!

Oh man, drop everything if you like Whole Foods and race over to get the $20 voucher that is priced at just $10 today!!

I just bought one and it is a limit of one per person. You can use this at any store nationwide- find a Whole Foods location near you here.  It does not matter what city you actually purchase from, the voucher will be the same for everyone and can be used in any store nationwide.

It looks like the $20 value expires on 12/13.  I really think these are going to sell out- it is only 7am PST and they have already sold 250,000 vouchers so don’t wait to order!

NOTE: As of posting the site is just a little slow to load so be patient.  It did time out twice for me but I just refreshed the screen and the order went right through.

Ok well this deal will only be for a small number of you, but it is for sure something to check out if you are interested in organic beef.

On Friday only, Whole Foods stores will be offering Organic, Grass Fed Beef for $4.99/lb. The limit is 10lbs.

You might want to check out the Whole Foods blog for more information- they offer specifics on exactly the kind of beef for each store.

I have been watching for several months now for the best prices on organic beef.  In my area, I have seen organic beef for $3.99/lb but it has been imported from Uruguay.

So this is the lowest I have seen for grass fed, organic beef and from local ranches.   I have heard Costco is typically about $4.99-5.99/lb but  I don’t know where that beef comes from and I do not have a membership to Costco myself to offer more details.

I have extra room in my budget right now so I am going to be stocking up on this sale.

If you have little people in your house, make sure you don’t miss out on the Whole Foods kids club!

I nearly forgot to tell you that Whole Foods has a produce sale today only. You can get 2 organic cantaloupe for $1.50 each.

Now cantaloupe is actually on the Clean 15 list so you probably don’t need to hunt out organic but I actually think this is a good price for cantaloupe.

If you want tips for picking out cantaloupe or to get some recipe ideas, head over to Whole Foods.
