CVS Coupon Policy Update

02/07/2012

Share

There are a few updates to the CVS coupon policy today. It looks like this is mostly involving BOGO coupons. They have provided sample scenarios and everything so a huge round of applause to CVS for such a clearly written policy:

Here are the big changes:

Buy One, Get One Free Coupons
Sales tax must be paid for any Buy One, Get One Free coupon offer, if required by applicable state laws.
Two coupons may be used on a Buy One, Get One Free promotion as long as it does not exceed the item total
o Ex. Suave Shampoo is on sale for $2.00 Buy One, Get One Free and the customer is purchasing two shampoos;
customer may use two coupons for $1.00 each and pay the applicable tax.

Buy One, Get One Free promotions may be combined with Buy One, Get One Free Coupons. Customers are responsible for paying
applicable tax
o Ex. Suave Shampoo is on sale for $2.00 BOGO and customer has a MFG coupon for Suave BOGO. Customer will
receive both items for free but will need to pay any applicable tax.

So this is actually very good news and should make CVSing a little easier for many of you!

You can see the full CVS coupon policy here.

If a CVS is a convenient stop for you, you might check out the diaper section. Reader Lori mentioned that she found Pull Ups for 75% off.

I checked two stores in my area- one had CVS training pants for $3.99 and had Pull Ups for $5.24/pack! The second store had Pull Ups marked down 50% off.

So this will vary widely from store to store but I actually got a $2 off Pull Ups coupon from the coupon scanner when I stopped in to check this out. I also got a $4 off $20 CVS coupon via email so I did the following deal:

2 Mega Packs of Pull Ups at $9.89 (50% off clearance)
Filler item at $.99
Used $4/20 CVS coupon
and Used $2 off Pull Ups from the coupon scanner
and Used (2) $2/1 Pull-Ups Training Pants, exp. 2/11/12 (SS 01/15/12)
Final Price: $10.77 for both packs

So that just happened to work out perfectly for me tonight.  Clearance does vary considerably from store to store but worth a look if you need these.

I did see the Goodnights on clearance at one store too.  You might grab the $2 Goodnights coupon if you need those.

Thanks Lori!

Here are a few updates to CVS deals for this week:

Tom’s of Maine is priced at $3.99 this week with a $3 ECB back.

Some stores have the mouthwash on clearance for $2.94- so if you spot them grab it because you still get the $3 ECB!

The limit is 2.

Also, there is an advertised promotion for Schick razors- get a $4 ECB back on those.
It appears many stores also have Skintimate Shave Gel included in this ECB promotion!

So the deal looks like this:

Skintimate or Schick Hydro Shave Gel $3.99
Use $0.55/1 Skintimate Shave Gel, exp. 2/26/12 (SS 01/15/12)
Get $4 ECB back
Final Price: $.55 moneymaker

Two notes: As of posting, the limit on the ECBs is actually listed as 100- so no issues there. If you decide to buy the Hydro shave gel, do not buy the moisturizing variety as that is not triggering the ECBs.

Usually CVS keeps these little glitches running all week so hopefully you have good luck with this.  Considering the limit is 100 per person, I would hurry on over to the store if you want this deal.

See more CVS deals for 1/29 here.
