I have always been a big fan of Norton. HOWEVER, I recently had a virus. Okay, I had a lot of viruses….according to my computer guy, I broke the record for the number of viruses he has ever seen on 1 laptop. He convinced me to switchign from Norton to Macaffee b/c he said that whatever horrible virus I had would have been caught by the latest version of Macaffee but not Norton. So, I switched and so far am virus free!

I use avg..the free version and have not had any problems. I did have to have my computer worked on a couple years ago and the computer repair man…he also works on lots of companies computers said avg free was a wonderful virus protection that is what he uses on all of his at his shop…and told me to also get ad adware which is free too and do run windows defender which is free too…I like free and it works wonderfully!

My brother works in IT for a large international company, and he uses AVG Free. http://free.avg.com/ He’s so stuck on this, he doesn’t have his wireless locked down, and has never had a problem. Ad from a frugal standpoint, you can’t get much better than FREE!
