I know Spring is still several weeks away but I wanted to get this post up with plenty of time for those of you that like to do something a little extra special for the kids for Easter. I put together some ideas for Easter baskets by age that might be fun for your children.
My girls are older now (9 and 11) but they still get Easter baskets every year. I often buy things I usually would have purchased anyway but it makes it so much more special when everything is packed together in a cute Easter basket. This post is broken into boy and girl just to try and generalize and organize different items. It should go without saying that items from both categories apply to both genders- we all know that but I still feel the need to put that out there right at the start. My girls would like the items in the boy categories just as much as the girl categories and I am sure that goes both ways.
Some items that usually make their way into our baskets include:
- Outdoor items in anticipation of Spring (swim goggles, pool toys, new bathing suits, flip flops)
- Spring sports items (softballs, frisbees, new slides)
- Art supplies or craft items (kinetic sand, markers, gel pens)
- Candy (chocolate bunnies or other fun treats)
