You can mail in your old Kindle and they offer a credit based upon the specific device plus a bonus $20 credit to use toward purchasing a new Kindle.

The trade in value isn’t huge- up to $35- but considering mine is probably 5 years old and I paid about $100 for it. Not too bad of a return. Plus the new devices are so much less expensive than they used to be.

Hi Trista, No I think the issue is Amazon’s links. I have been struggling with them lately. The link was broken immediately after I posted but I was able to correct it within about 4 minutes. You might need to refresh your browser or try this and see if it works:

Hi Charlene, I have 2 older Kindles, a second generation and a third generation. Plus I have an older Kindle Fire, I think it’s second generation, too. But I love my second and third generation regular Kindles and don’t have any desire to trade them for newer models. I rarely use my Kindle Fire but use the other 2 all the time.

So nice of you Tara. My older Fire was only worth $10 but then again I paid $100 years ago and now it is $49 for a new Kindle so I guess that isn’t too bad of a deal. 😉
