Are you familiar with Raise.com? If not, it’s a company that buys and sells gift cards. Discounts are hard to come by on gift cards so I wanted to mention this deal. Right now they are offering new customers a $5 discount when you sign up with this link.
If you are using a mobile device, you might be redirected to the app. You will need a referral code to get the $5- my code is chaugsven.
UPDATE: The extra $10 code has now expired. You can still sign up and get the $5 credit and sit tight because another code should be released soon. I will post as soon as I see it!
Plus, get another $10 off when you use code: RAISE10! This is the perfect time to grab gift cards for teachers. If you bought electronics this year, an iTunes gift card would be a perfect stocking stuffer! Or grab a restaurant gift card for yourself to take the night off cooking or something like Whole Foods would be awesome for a fabulous dessert for the holidays.
I chose a $25 Nordstrom gift card for $24. After all discounts, my total was $9. Amazing!
Under each gift card you can details as to whether or not it’s an e-gift card or an actual card that is mailed. You can also click on the sidebar for physical cards or egift cards.
If you do want to give an actual physical gift card just note there aren’t as many options. I went ahead and got the Nordstrom card and I will pop in and get a cute little gift for someone. My voucher was emailed to me within minutes- I logged back into my account and I was given the option to email the voucher to someone or print to use in store.
Also this is for new customers only.
Here is what you do:
You will need to verify your account. My code came instantly and your account should be credited $5.
Choose your gift card.
Use code: RAISE10 at checkout for another $10 off.
This offer could end at any time. I would not wait.

I signed up but did not receive my sign up bonus of $5
Charlene says
Hi Shauna,
Unfortunately if you don’t use the link in the post you won’t get the $5 credit.
katie says
Same for me.
Charlene says
Hi Katie,
Unfortunately if you don’t use the link in the post you won’t get the $5 credit 🙁
katie says
and I did use the link in the post.
Shauna says
i used the link! and i saw your referral code when i made my new account!
Charlene says
Shauna, I get an email when people use the link and there hasn’t been one from a Shauna. There was a Shanna just a second ago? Maybe your computer autocorrected or maybe you just need to give it a few minutes.
Charlene says
Hi Katie,
I get an email and no emails came with a Katie. Others came with other names. Maybe it is just running a little behind today? I would give it a few minutes.
karen hiebert says
hrm, nothing for me…
Charlene says
Karen, I didn’t get an email with your name. I am sure it will come as long as you used the link 🙂
You can contact them here though if you want it right away:

Tara says
I followed your link, saw your name in the referral box, but did not receive my $5 either. 🙁
Beth says
It worked perfectly for me! I got a $25 iTunes gift card for $7.50! Awesome for my husband’s stocking! THANKS!
Barbara Serna says
I did this deal last Saturday and I had to log out of raise and log back in and then the $5 showed up. Their website is a bit slow I thought but it did work and I did get the deal.
allison says
I didn’t get mine either, and I used the link.
Sandra says
I used your referral link and it worked!! thank you. Great deal 🙂
Charlene says
Hi Tara- no email from you either. Sorry I don’t know how you can get the $5 without using a referral link. You might try what Barbara suggested. For me the $5 just showed up. Do note that if you click the link and then go to other things and open other tabs that could be the issue. If none of that happened I would just contact them with the info I provided above and I am sure they can make it work.
Charlene says
Yeah! I was skeptical too but it was all super easy for me too Sandra! Glad it worked!
Charlene says
Thanks for the tip Barbara!
Charlene says
Whoo hoo! Glad it worked Beth 🙂
Elene says
Also used the link and saw the referral code and didn’t get the $5. Did anyone get it applied after the fact? I wonder if 1 link works and another one doesn’t or something since some people got it and some didn’t.
Paula says
Alas, I also used the link and saw the code entered in the right box and I also did not get the $5 discount.
Megan Lunt says
I signed up using the link and did not get the five dollars.
Charlene says
Elene,
No the links are the same. It could be a technology issue. Did you use a phone by chance? I went ahead and emailed them and passed along the email addresses. You might also send them an email and mention the problem.
Another thought– did you verify your phone number?
Mary says
Thanks for this deal Charlene! I’m wondering if you happened to buy a voucher, and if so, can it be printed in a presentable way that would be appropriate for a Christmas gift? (I’m having a hard time finding a physical card for this particular gift.) Thanks for your input!
Charlene says
Hi Mary- I think the code might have expired already 🙁 I believe there will be another code released later this week so just keep checking back and I will post right away. Things expire at midnight EST pretty often and that is usually 9pm PST when a lot of us are just getting to our computers.
So let me think here.I think you probably want to either get a physical gift card- which is more limited- or buy a voucher and go get them something at the store or buy yourself a gift card and go treat yourself 🙂 I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable with a printed out gift voucher except for like my nephew who is 24 and I could print it out and put it in a card for him no big deal at all. My daughter’s teachers I wouldn’t do that though. I bought the voucher for $25 at Nordstrom and I tested it and I was able to add a $25 physical gift card to my cart and then at the payment part I entered my gift card voucher and the balance was showing as $0. So I think you can buy a gift card with the voucher- does that make sense?
Keep in mind this was my personal test and I have no idea how that would work for every store but the fine print on my voucher says to treat this like cash with no exclusions.
HTH!

Hi ladies,
I got in touch with a customer service supervisor at Raise because I was concerned about all the issues. They looked up your accounts via the email addresses that you entered when leaving your comments here.
I got the info for everyone 🙂 Here is what they found:
Kim- the email address you put on your comment could not be found in their system
Elene- you created an account and placed an order on 11/9. Unfortunately this is for new customers only. 🙁
Paula- you did not use the link in the post so the referral credit wasn’t applied.
Allison- they couldn’t find an account with the email provided in the comments.
Tara- you did not use the link in the post so the referral credit was not applied. I was told you can still go into your account and under My Rewards, there is an option to enter a referral code. Mine is chaugsven
Karen- you created an account in 2013 and placed an order so you are not considered a new customer. Sorry 🙁 Easy to forget that far back. On the upside I posted a new Starbucks offer this morning that works at Target 🙂
Shauna- you did not use the link in the post so the referral credit wasn’t applied. I was told you can still go into your account and under My Rewards, there is an option to enter a referral code. Mine is chaugsven
Katie- Unfortunately they show you as creating an account in 2014 therefore you are not considered a new customer. Boo!
Whew- I think that takes care of everyone that had an issue 🙂
Jennie says
The RAISE10 promo code has expired (Dec 4, 1053 CST)
Charlene says
Hi Jennie- yes that was noted in the post 🙂 You can still sign up for the $5 and then either shop now or wait for the next code to be released for a larger discount.
Kerry says
I must have created an account before, even though I don’t recall. It was probably some time ago and I have forgotten! I was able to use the $10, but not the $5. (This was yesterday or maybe day before) Still scored a great deal! Got a $40 GC for $26 and paired it with a $25 GC I won at work and a 20% coupon I had to Bath & Body Works. Spent $1 and some change on original total of $70+. Win!!
Charlene says
Yup totally Kerry! Merry Christmas to you 🙂
