Here are some free or cheap children’s activities available this week to keep the kiddos busy. I thought posting these now will help you plan your week.
These are all the things that are free to do this week with just a few that are very inexpensive.
Pottery Barn Kids: Every Tuesday from 11AM-11:30AM, kids of all ages are invited to story time. Times can vary slightly from store to store so you might want to call ahead to verify.
Lakeshore Learning: Kids will create a Spooky Treats Holder on October 25th. Stop by from 11am-3pm.
Michaels: Kid’s Club Event: Halloween Fun crafts on October 25th from 10am to noon.
Barnes and Noble: There is a free storytime Tuesday and Thursday as well as Saturday of each week with books, a cookie and usually coloring pages and activities.
October is No Bullying Month and some locations will feature a special storytime with Dr. Seuss’s Horton and more Lost Stories. Times Vary so check your local store.
There will also be a special Halloween storytime on Saturday. The book featured will be Click, Clack, Moo.
Bass Pro Shop: Your kids can participate in the Free Kid’s Adventures Activities- treasure hunts, crafts and more. These are weekly activities and vary greatly by location. You can head over here to find your local store to confirm activities and times. And just a heads up from personal experience, it is best to get in line early. These events tend to be very popular.
REI: They offer the Family Adventure Program with various classes for children and adults. I saw hiking and camping classes plus fun Geocaching adventures. I also saw outdoor photography lessons.
The selection and dates/times vary by location but you can check to see what your store is offering here.
Williams-Sonoma: Junior Chef Class on October 25th at 10am. Kids will learn how to decorate Halloween cookies. Suitable for ages 5-13.
If you live near an American Girl Store, you might check out their events. Times and dates vary.
