With back to school in full swing in most parts of the country, I wanted to round up a few helpful printables and tips.
My kiddos aren’t in school yet but we are getting close and already the calendar is filling up with all sorts of meetings, activities and extracurriculars.
Here are some free printables that I found around the web that will hopefully be useful for you to get it all together.
I love this school binder to get the year off on the right foot. You can personalize with your child’s grade and choose from boy or girl options. Each binder has sections for the school calendar, homework and other keepsakes like artwork and special things from the year.
If you have little ones that are nervous about their first day of school, here is a great idea. You can download a free printable to make the day special and the idea is to attach it to a special gift that you both will have. In this case, it was a bracelet. While at school, your child can see the bracelet and think of you when she is nervous or scared. The same concept could be customized for a little boy.
I love this idea and I think it would be perfect for children that might do sports, dance, recitals and more– this might help to make preforming in the Christmas play much less intimidating.
There is also a school homework planner available here. The planner will work for lots of ages- preschool and up- it says 2nd Grade but just ignore that.
And for a fun way to make back to school memories, you can grab this free printable from Lil’ Luna. Let your child personalize with all their favorite foods, activities and more. Plus what they want to be when they grow up and a picture of themselves. This would be cute to do every year and see how the answers change.
And here is a School Days Printable Memory Kit that is along the same lines. Cute to look back on from year to year!
You might also check out these free school printables. My favorite is the school money printable. This would really streamline mornings when you are sorting lunch money, field trip money and more.
Or for another option, there is another school money printable here plus a few book labels. Print those out on sticker paper or labels and make sure all the books, CD’s, games and more actually find their way back to your home.
The little lunch labels are cute too- we don’t use brown bag lunches (the girls have lunch bags) but these are still handy to have for class field trips when the kiddos do need to bring a brown bag lunch. Much cuter then scribbling their name on with a marker 🙂
Here is an overall household binder with printable to do lists and contact information. Handy to have these on hand for babysitters!
Last but not least, here are some free printables to label school supplies. These are really cute and would work perfectly for your supplies at home too.
Other things you might be interested in to help with the school year:
- Weekly Menu Planning plus free Menu Plan Printable
- Free Printable Lunchbox Ideas Guide. Lot of tips and a little printable to tape inside the cabinet for when you are stumped on creative ideas for lunch.
- And here are some ideas to quickly and easily organize all your finances. I keep details of the kid’s medical appointments and also extracirculars in there as well.
And you might also check out my Back to School pinterest board with cute ideas for lunch boxes and lots of lunch box notes to tuck into backpacks. I like to send these to Staples to have them printed in full color- it is something like $.50 or $.60 per page and you won’t use up all your ink at home 🙂
