There is a nice Target coupon coming up.  In the August 3rd ad, there will be a coupon to get a $5 gift card when you spend $25 on school supplies. Or you can text SCHOOL to 827438 to get the coupon but keep in mind it’s not valid until 8/3.

The ad has several nice deals.  Here are just a few highlights:

  • Crayola Water Colors $.99
  • Bic 8 ct pencils $.99
  • Post It Notes 90 ct $.99
  • Sharpie Highlighters 3ct $.99
  • Crayola Crayons $.50
  • Sterilite Pencil Box $.50
  • Mead Notebook $.50
  • Up & Up 2 pocket folder $.50
  • Expo Dry Erase Markers 4 ct $2.50
  • Scotch Magic Tape 3ct $3.50
  • Mead Planners and Notebooks $7

And the ad also features some adorable lunch boxes and such.  Plus I spotted a super cute Olaf USB drive but I’m not sure the coupon will work on those items?  What do you guys think?  Are backpacks school supplies?

The nice thing about the gift card offer is that it can be stacked with coupons. Here are several you might want to go ahead and grab while you can.  Hopefully we will see some new cartwheel coupons pop up by Sunday since the current ones expire before then.

Watch for coupons from the catalina machine also. We went to Target the other day and bought all our school supplies. When she handed me my receipt and a bunch of coupons that kicked out, one of them was $5/$25 Target coupon. I was a little bit irritated considering I had just purchased everything at once (not something I normally do) but I didn’t say anything because it obviously isn’t her fault :-) I would suggest maybe buying a couple things in one transaction to see if you get one that you can use on the rest.

I guess I should have specified, it was $5/$25 purchase of school supplies.

I went to Target last night, and shopped for school supplies.
I questioned the cashier about the gift card and she said go to guest services. They told me that the bookbags do not count as school supplies.
They were obviously seasonal for back to school, stocked with the back to school and i bought them for back to school.
But they didn’t count. just so you know…..
