I went through Starbucks this afternoon and noticed a sign that the Happy Hour for Frappuccinos is back again.
This is always really popular- it runs from May 1-May 10 this year. You can stop by any location from 3-5pm and get half off your drink.
If you are registered with My Starbucks Rewards (free program) you can hit your local Starbucks from 3-6pm on May 6-10th.
So an extra hour for part of the promotion which is nice.
I also saw a promotion coming in May for the new Oprah Chai drinks. I’ll post the details on that soon. (And yup apparently Oprah has a Starbucks drink now.)
And if you are a fan of these promotions, you can text SMILE to 22122 and they will alert you to new promotions this summer. (If you don’t want the extra texts I will post them all as well.)
I texted and was told to sit tight for upcoming Frappuccino promotions- they also sent a cat doing some sort of light show performance. Ahem.
When I tried to send a text to 22122 it informed me that I will receive charges on my phone bill. I did not sign up.
Linda- I am sorry but you are the only one that knows your cell phone plan. I don’t have the ability to know what you have selected for your text options on your personal plan. Many people have unlimited text options tied with their phones so they would not be charged. If you don’t have the option to receive text messages on your plan then you will be charged for any text messages you receive. You want to get in touch with your service provider and ask. Starbucks is not charging you to send you advertisements. You are being charged because your cell phone plan is not set up to allow text messages.

I walk in to one of the outlet by 1st of may purchase 2 frap and it charge me for normal price. I can’t get any discount on it. Pls advise. Can I claim back?

I am not sure I understand the question. Why don’t you just call your store and ask. That is probably the fastest solution. You can also go to Starbucks.com and look for the customer service link and send an email if that is more convenient.
How did you like the Oprah Chai? I tried it and didn’t care for it…too cinnamon-y. I love cinnamon, but not to the extreme that it was in the drink. I’ll stick with the original Iced Chai…although one barista mentioned some people enjoy the original Chai and the Oprah chai mixed together half and half. I might try that.
