Panera Bread has a fun new program for groups of children ages 5-12.  Kid’s get to go behind the scenes at the bakery-cafe while learning kitchen essential and the fundamentals of baking.

The cost is $20 per child and that includes a $5 donation to a school or church group of your choice.  Each child will also get their own hat and apron, stretch and score their own French Baguette, decorate a cookie and more.

I think this looks so cute.  You do need a group of at least 10 kids to do this activity. This might be something fun for Girl Scouts, school field trip or even a birthday party!

Not all locations are participating but you can head over here and find out if your Panera is.

Please note there must be one parent chaperone per every 5 children.  Classes are available with start times between 2–4:30pm.  No classes are held from mid-November to the end of the year.

For more fun children’s activities, head over here to see ideas for this week.

Hi I am interested in bringing my Trumbull Brownie troop to your Trumbull location for a baker in training program. I am wondering if there is availability on Tuesday, October 21st for our troop to come in at approximately 4 o’clock? There are 10 girls in our troop age 7.

    Thank you
    Jennifer Cordella

Hi Jennifer- this is actually a personal blog that posted about the program. You would want to get in touch with Panera directly to schedule your appointment.
