This is probably really a silly question, but do you get the paper free right then and there, or do they mail you a rebate? I see these often but just don’t know how it works. Thanks!!! Really enjoy your site, our family gets lots of great deals, thanks for posting!

    Toni,

If there a rebate you need to register for the free Staples rewards program- that just takes a second. Then you pay the price- $3 or something and then on your receipt all the info for the rebate prints out. You can go online quickly to submit and then they mail you a check :). Sometimes things come back in the form of Rewards which is store credit but Staples will usually send a check.

I think if the rebate will be in the form of store credit, they call is a “Staples Reward” — but an “Easy Rebate” should result in a check you can deposit and spend anywhere!

    Yes Annye- exactly.

Just went and did this today. Thanks for posting it Charlene! The paper was originally $7.49 each. My store couldn’t scan the coupon from my phone (I didn’t know that) but they had a couple printed under the register anyway. It gave me an immediate $3.99 off making my before-tax-total $3.50. It printed all the rebate info but you can submit it online as well so I did that. All done and pretty easy! Thanks again for letting us know about these kinds of deals Charlene, super helpful.

I have received 4 cases of free after rebate from staples over the last 7 months. I had a choice the first time of a check or prepaid debit card and the most recent I didn’t get and option. It was a prepaid debit card. They can be used anywhere. I am never paying for paper again! Plus I got discounted ink so printing coupons is really cheap!
