Here are some free or cheap children’s activities available this week to keep the kiddos busy. I thought posting these now will help you plan your week.
These are all the things that are free to do this week with just a few that are very inexpensive.
Lowes: There will be a Build and Grow Clinic February 8th at 10:00 am. Kid’s will build a love note holder for Valentine’s Day.
You can register here for this free event.The kids should get an apron, all the supplies for the clinic and a few other goodies.
Williams-Sonoma: Junior Chef Class on February 8th at 9:30 am. Learn how to make Valentine’s Day Cookies. I would recommend calling your local store to confirm and register.
Pottery Barn Kids: Every Tuesday from 11AM-11:30AM, kids of all ages are invited to story time. Times can vary slightly from store to store so you might want to call ahead to verify.
They will also have Valentine’s Stations the week of February 7th. Bring the kid’s in to enjoy special events and activities. Times vary.
Cooking Decorating February 8th at 11am (RSVP Required)
Lakeshore Learning: Kids make a Heart Shaped Card Holder on February 8th from 11am-3pm.
Michaels: Kids Club Event- Make a Sweet Treat Card on February 8th. Ages 3 and up are welcome to this event. Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10am – 11:30am. See a store associate to join.
Barnes and Noble: There is a free storytime Tuesday and Thursday as well as Saturday of each week with books, a cookie and usually coloring pages and activities. The theme this week is Elf on the Shelf: A Birthday Tradition Storytime.
Saturday (2/8) there will be a special Valentine’s Storytime: Love Monster. They will read stories, do activities and have Valentine’s Treats.
Lego Store: Free Lego build event February 4th at 5 pm. Kid’s will build a Micro Manager. The event is limited to kids age 6-14. Quantities are limited so it is best to get there early!
There is a free Lego Build on Saturday at Toys R Us from 12-2pm. Note this movie is going to be huge so I bet this event is really popular- you might want to get there early. (Thanks Jessica!)

I like to see this list too.
Last weekend we went to Home Depot to make the car, and we have the Toys R Us Lego event on the calendar.
These types of events are motivational for my son to be a good boy and free for us. 🙂
