Here are some free or cheap children’s activities available this week to keep the kiddos busy. I thought posting these now will help you plan your week.
These are all the things that are free to do this week with just a few that are very inexpensive.
Williams-Sonoma: Junior Chef Class on March 1st at 9:30 am. Learn all about Baking 101. I would recommend calling your local store to confirm and register.
Pottery Barn Kids: Every Tuesday from 11AM-11:30AM, kids of all ages are invited to story time. Times can vary slightly from store to store so you might want to call ahead to verify. March 2nd is Read Across America Day.
Peter Rabbit character appearance at select stores on March 1st. Locate a participating store here.
Lakeshore Learning: Kids make a Wheels and Wings Note Clip on March 1st from 11am-3pm.
Michaels: Kids Club Event- Make a Bookmark for Read Across America Day on March 1st. Ages 3 and up are welcome to this event. Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10am – 11:30am. See a store associate to join.
Barnes and Noble: There is a free storytime Tuesday and Thursday as well as Saturday of each week with books, a cookie and usually coloring pages and activities.
There will also be a special Lego Movie Building Event on Saturday, March 1st. Times vary so check your local store.
On Sunday March 2nd, there will be a Read Across America Green Eggs and Ham storytime. The event starts at 11am.
Home Depot: Home Depot’s free Kids Workshop will be on Saturday, March 1st and your kids can build a Horse Bank from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. You can get all the information about registering here.
If you live near an American Girl Store, you might check out their events. Times and dates vary.

My local Lego store (Natick, MA) said this was last Saturday not this coming Saturday.
Josh- Lego stores have an event on March 4th. This event is at Barnes and Noble. 🙂
