I haven’t stopped by my local Target store yet today but I wanted to mention that my best guess is that after Christmas discounts of 70% will start today.
This will vary by store but for most of this year Target has started marking seasonal items down on Sundays. Remember that things aren’t always priced correctly at Target so it never hurts to scan your items just to make sure.
Remember that usually they mark the seasonal decor and such to 70% off and the food items are typically at 50% off. You might check the bakery area for left over cookies and cupcakes on clearance (I find they always forget to mark these down), look for holiday themed hand soaps, Tupperware, food storage, toothpaste etc… often these are in unusual spots and they aren’t always marked. All the seasonal Glad wrap and such was near the freezer items in my store- not the aisle where you normally find Ziploc and Glad.
Also the coffee creamer is already a great deal this week at $.06 but you might find seasonal flavors on clearance. Oh and one more spot to check is the One Spot. My store was at 50% off earlier this week.
I am hoping to head out in a bit and check my store- fingers crossed they still have Egg Nog :).
If you do hit up your Target store please share what you find!
Our Target put Dollar Spot to 70% and Candy to 50%, but left all other Christmas at 50%. I even heard over there radios someone asking when it would go to 70% and they did not know. I am hoping tomorrow for us.
My local grocery store had egg nog 50% off so I was happy. This year, there was a brand called J.R. Watkins that uses the Watkins vanilla that was really yummy. I tried all the flavors, vanilla, vanilla almond, and pumpkin spice 🙂 I thought I might try making French toast with it, or maybe bread pudding, or maybe pancakes. I keep thinking about those cute snowman pancakes you made!
Oh Jane I love JR Watkins! Lucky you!
I hope so to Rebekah although I never get too excited because my stores seem to be empty by the time things hit 70 off 🙂
In the Dollar spot I found toddler stretchy gloves and kid stretchy gloves and hats. The gloves rang as $0.30 and the hats (toddler) were $0.90. The Christmas window clings were $0.30 too. The 70% was only black triangle things and they were mixed in with blak stars (full price) etc. There was a lot lof product left at my store (Brentwood in NorCal).
I found 10 sheets of tissue paper, 2014 wall calendars, and sprinkles for $0.30 in the dollar spot. I also found gift boxes for $0.90 in the dollar spot. The wrapping paper was 50% off at my store.
Stopped by a store in Santa Rosa, CA around 4:00ish and although the signs said 50% off and 30% of food, non food items were ringing up at 70% off and food items at 50% off.
I found the Kahlua small one pot coffee blocks, magnetic memo pads for the fridge and nail brushes with the pumice stones attached all for $0.30 ea.
The best deals at my store were in the dollar spot at 70% off. I bought a bunch of thank you cards (8 for $.30), baker’s twine, and ribbon. We also had a bunch of cookie dough 50% off.
My store went to 70% off today, was able to get pink and purple piggy paint for $1.50 a bottle! Found it with all the stocking stuffer items!
I bought 3 large drink buckets for 5.99 each.
Today in my Target I found the Starbucks Christmas items @ 70% off………..Christmas blend via, gingerbread biscotti and unfortunately I missed the Christmas blend beans.
