Here are some free or cheap children’s activities available this week to keep the kiddos busy. I thought posting these now will help you plan your week.
These are all the things that are free to do this week with just a few that are very inexpensive.
Bass Pro Shop: Free Photo with Santa, crafts and activities through December 24th. Times, dates and activities vary by location. You can select your store here and get more specific information.
Pottery Barn Kids: Every Tuesday from 11AM-11:30AM, kids of all ages are invited to story time. Times can vary slightly from store to store so you might want to call ahead to verify.
Through December 20th, there will be a magical game of I Spy. The Elf on the Shelf will be hiding in a new place each week. Children that spot him will win a prize from the holiday treasure chest. Check here for specific days and times at a location near you.
Lakeshore Learning: Kids make an Igloo Toss Game on December 7th from 11am-3pm.
Barnes and Noble: There is a free storytime Tuesday and Thursday as well as Saturday of each week with books, a cookie and usually coloring pages and activities. (My store has cancelled these for the rest of the year so you might double check at your store before you go.)
This Friday the theme will be a special Polar Express Storytime. There will be fun activities and holiday treats. Check your store for times.
Lego: Kids will build a rocking horse 12/3. The event starts at 5pm and is limited to kids age 6-14. Quantities are limited so it is best to get there early!
If you live near an American Girl Store, you might check out their events. Times and dates vary.
