Why does it say in the fine print valid for the Palm beach locations listed only if it is a nationwide deal?
Louise, I received an email directly from Groupon PR team “Today BJ’s Wholesale is live! The link below specifies Palm Beach locations but once purchased this deal can be used at any BJ’s location.”
I have no idea what goes behind creating campaigns for Groupon. Why don’t you email your question to them directly and I am sure they have an excellent answer for you.
Charlene, I called Groupon and spoke to their rep, Steven. Unfortunately, he gave me the wrong information. He said the membership could only be used in the locations listed. He had some real bizarre story why you couldn’t use it in other locations even though it said it could be used in any participating clubs in your city. I didn’t think he was correct and questioned him if the membership card would indicate those specified locations as I have never seen a card that couldn’t be used at all locations. When he kept insisting that he was correct, I called one of the locations and was told it coud be used at any location. In fact, the BJ’s manager was very upset that Groupon was giving out the info incorrectly. That store manager was going to call his contact person to make sure that reps taking the calls were better informed. This same Groupon offer was made in many other states too listing several locations to redeem the groupon. Once it was clarified, I did purchase the Groupon. Thanks for the heads up on this deal.
