Here are some free or cheap children’s activities available this week to keep the kiddos busy.  I thought posting these now will help you plan your week.

These are all the things that are free to do this week with just a few that are very inexpensive.

Bass Pro Shop: Free Photo with Santa, crafts and activities through December 24th.   Times, dates and activities vary by location.  You can select your store here and get more specific information.

Babies R Us: Babies 1st Christmas Event November 23rd from 9-10am.  Get a $10 gift card just for joining the fun!  Meet other parents with babies born in 2013.  Enjoy holiday festivities, giveaways and prizes. Create a holiday craft with your little one.

**Please note this week’s event is for babies born July-September 2013. Upcoming Saturdays will include other months.

Toys R Us: Ultimate Wish Saturday event November 23rd from 10am-2pm. Enjoy free activities and giveaways as your child checks out this year’s hottest toys. Event intended for children ages 3 and up.

Pottery Barn Kids: Every Tuesday from 11AM-11:30AM, kids of all ages are invited to story time. Times can vary slightly from store to store so you might want to call ahead to verify.

Through December 20th, there will be a magical game of I Spy.  The Elf on the Shelf will be hiding in a new place each week.  Children that spot him will win a prize from the holiday treasure chest. Check here for specific days and times at a location near you.

Lakeshore Learning:  Make a Silly Turkey Hat on November 23rd from 11am-3pm.  Kids design  fine-feathered turkey hats to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Michaels: Kids Club Event- Make a handmade stocking for Christmas on November 23rd.  Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10am – 11:30am. See a store associate to join.

Barnes and Noble: There is a free storytime Tuesday and Thursday as well as Saturday of each week with books, a cookie and usually coloring pages and activities.

It looks like this week the theme will be Elf on the Shelf with a special storytime and adoption party.  Another storytime will feature American Girl with themed crafts.  Check your local store for times and dates here.

If you live near an American Girl Store, you might check out their events.  Times and dates vary.
