The Safeway supplemental ad for 9/15 shows there is a new gift card promotion! I just love these because a gift card can be used with a coupon and sales for an awesome deal!
If you buy a $50 Sephora or Gap Brand gift card at Safeway stores from 9/11-10/8, you will get $10 off your next shopping trip.
There isn’t any additional fine print so it appears this is just a $10 catalina to spend on $10 or more in groceries.
There is a chance this will vary by region so it never hurts to double check your local ad.

Thank you for the correction that was my mistake. Is there no possible way you would spend $10 on groceries? I don’t see any reason to be upset. Safeway is not my #1 choice for groceries but I can always find at least $10 in items to purchase on any given week.
Oh, I’m not upset at all. $10 less oop on gcs would be my first choice, but it would be easy to spend $10 at Safeway too. Safeway tends to have some amazing gc deals around the holidays, so I might wait until then since I still have some from last year. lol I totally stocked up. 🙂
Yeah that is a good plan but sometimes those catalinas expire so you might want to check that. 🙂
Can someone report back once they have done this deal? Often times, at least with Safeway, it will be $10 off your grocery bill when you spend XXX.

The last time there was a promotion it was $10 off $20 but it did clearly state in the ad that would be the case. In the past they have run $10 off any purchase many times.
