Here are some free or cheap children’s activities available this week to keep the kiddos busy.  I thought posting these now will help you plan your week.

These are all the things that are free to do this week with just a few that are very inexpensive.

Toys R Us: Free Cra-Z-Loom bracelet Making Event September 14th from 10 am to 12 pm. Make your own bracelet and take it home with you.  This event is intended for children ages 6 and up.  Limit one per child and while supplies last.

Thomas & Friends Play Date: September 14th from 11 am to 1 pm. Join us for story time, fun activities and special savings.

Pottery Barn Kids: Celebrate Super Heroes September 12-15th. Kids are invited to join us in stores dressed as their favorite super hero. Those who participate will receive a crime fighting coloring book while supplies last.  Plus, Batman and Spider-Man will appear at select stores. It does not specify a time so I would call your local store to check.

Every Tuesday from 11AM-11:30AM, kids of all ages are invited to story time. Times can vary slightly from store to store so you might want to call ahead to verify.

Lakeshore Learning:  Make a Wise Little Owl on September 14th  from 11am- 3pm. Children create a fancy feathered owl that they’ll be proud to call their pal!

Michaels: Kids Club Event- Stamptember Powered by Hero Art on September 14th. Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop. Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10am – 11:30am. See a store associate to join.

Barnes and Noble: There is a free storytime Tuesday and Thursday as well as Saturday of each week with books, a cookie and usually coloring pages and activities. You should check your store because dates and times vary and some locations are having a special Grandparents Story Time.

Special Eric Carle storytime plus crafts Saturday the 14th at 11:00 am.

Lowes: There will be a Build and Grow Clinic September 14th at 10 am to build a classic fire truck.

You can register here for this free event. The kids should get an apron, all the supplies for the clinic and a few other goodies.

Lego Store: Free Lego build event September 12th at 5 pm.  Kid’s will build a Castle Mini Model. The event is limited to kids age 6-14. Quantities are limited so it is best to get there early!

If you live near an American Girl Store, you might check out their events.  Times and dates vary.
