Amazon has a new promotion where you can get a free $5 credit when you send a gift card.

There are a few hoops for this one but I thought I’d mention it anyway.

Here is the deal- you have to connect your Amazon account to your Facebook account.

Then you send an Amazon gift card to a friend- you can schedule it to arrive on their birthday.  You can also invite other friends to chip in and make the gift bigger.

Once that happens, you will also get a $5 credit for trying the service.

Gifts must be delivered by 9/22.

So anyway, not for everyone but this might be a nice offer for some of you.  I could see something like this being handy for high school grads in June.

Head over here to Amazon to see the details of the promotion.
