Joann’s Crafts has released a new coupon for 50% off any one regularly priced item. Β The coupon is valid through Sunday only online or in store.
This is a really great coupon to grab as they typically offer 40% off at best.
I am in the midst of a Mermaid Birthday Party preparation today and we bought the pretty vintage blue Mason jars earlier this week. Β A 6pk was priced at $15.99 at my store- so these will be $7.99 after coupon!
Just one idea for your coupon- these jars are so cute for parties or they would be really lovely with fresh white flowers.

Ace Hardware has 12 pack of Ball hard point size 2 for $14
Janelle,
Yup! I posted that earlier this week:

The ones I bought are the vintage blue Ball Jars and it looks like Ace has the 12pk of clear jars :). For a mermaid party I wanted the blue ones.
I just love these blue jars. They are perfect for a mermaid party. I think I might have to get them and make them part of my girls five year old party next month. I am going to make the rainbow cupcakes you posted awhile back. Thanks for all the cute ideas π
Oh Nicole, I just finished setting up the party and I am really happy with it. I found the best stuff- at Michael’s they have blue glitter wrapping paper. I put it on top of a canvas drop cloth from Lowe’s instead of a tablecloth. So the canvas looks a little like sand and the blue glitter paper unwrapped on the table like a runner looks awesome. So happy with it π
That sounds so neat. Are you going to do a post about it? (No pressure :))
Yeah I will if I can get good light in the morning π
Charlene, the color of your vintage blue Ball Jars perfectly match the color of your My Frugal Adventures logo! (At least on my computer screen. ) So if you ever have an event for your blog, you could incorporate orange flowers & the blue jars…you’re creative, so I’m sure you’ll come up with a great idea! π
Great point! I never look at the blog from the normal view so that never would have occurred to me π
I hope you can share mermaid party ideas with us π
So excited to see the mermaid birthday party post!!!
Charlene, I bought a few boxes of jars, do I have to wash each one before serving drinks in them or are they sterilized?
does anyone know if I have to sterilize or wash all the jars before using them?
Joanna, it only takes a second to run them through the dishwasher. I suppose you don’t have to wash them if you don’t want to but it seems like they will have countless germs from the packaging and from the factory. I think your drinks might have little dust particles and such. Personally I wash all new dishes that I buy before I use them. Just put the lids and the jars in the dishwasher and they will be ready to go in about 40 minutes.
