Here are some free or cheap children’s activities available this week to keep the kiddos busy. I thought posting these now will help you plan your week.
These are all the things that are free to do this week with just a few that are very inexpensive.
Toys R Us: Free Cra-Z-Loom bracelet Making Event August 24th from 10 am to 12 pm. Make your own bracelet and take it home with you. This event is intended for children ages 6 and up. Limit one per child and while supplies last.
Pottery Barn Kids: Every Tuesday from 11AM-11:30AM, kids of all ages are invited to story time. Times can vary slightly from store to store so you might want to call ahead to verify.
Lakeshore Learning: Make Funny Face Goggles from 11am- 3pm on August 24th. Totally wacky and super-fun to wear…kids will love crafting these outrageous goggles.
Michaels: Kids Club Event- Make a Duct Tape Book Cover on August 24th. Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop. Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10am – 11:30am. See a store associate to join.
Barnes and Noble: Join us for a special It’s the Cookie Mouse Storytime August 24th at 11:00 am.
What happens if you give a mouse a cookie? This Saturday you can find out from the mouse himself because he’ll be here for a very special Storytime!
There is also a free storytime Tuesday and Thursday of each week with with books, a cookie and usually coloring pages and activities. You should check your store because dates and times might vary.
Lowes: There will be a Build and Grow Clinic August 24th (10 am) and August 25th (2 pm) to build El Chupacabra from Disney Planes.
You can register here for this free event.The kids should get an apron, all the supplies for the clinic and a few other goodies.
Regal Cinemas: Children’s movies every Tuesday and Wednesday for just $1.00 per person at 10 am. This does tend to be pretty popular in my area so be sure to get there early.

Cinemark: Children’s movies for $1 or $.50 if purchased in advance. The Summer Movie Clubhouse days depending on what state you live in. It’s best to just click on your actual theater to get show dates and times because it greatly varies.
