Here are some free or cheap children’s activities available this week to keep the kiddos busy. I thought posting these now will help you plan your week.
These are all the things that are free to do this week with just a few that are very inexpensive.
Pottery Barn Kids: July 2 at 11AM kids can meet Curious George during storytime. Times can vary slightly from store to store so you might want to call ahead to verify.
Home Depot: Kid’s can build a Despicable Me 2 Craft July 6th between 9 am and 12 pm. You will want to register here first.
Lowes: This activity is not until July 13th-14th but these fill up very quickly so I wanted to mention it now so you can register. Your child can build the iconic truck from the Toy Story films-Pizza Planet Truck. July 13th at 10:00 am or July 14th at 2:00 pm.
AC Moore: Free Make & Take July 3 from 1pm-3pm. Kids can create an Orb Factory Bling Sticker Name Plaque.
Lakeshore Learning: Big Mouth Whale Puppet. Kids will create a sea creature puppet with a big, hungry mouth on July 6th from 11 am to 3 pm.
Lego Store: Free Lego build event July 2nd at 5 pm. Kid’s will build a crab. The event is limited to kids age 6-14. Quantities are limited so it is best to get there early!
Michaels: Kid’s Club Event: Summer Games on July 6th. Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop. Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10am – 11:30am. See a store associate to join.
Barnes and Nobles: The Cat in the Hat will make a special appearance during storytime July 6th at 11 am. Join in the fun for books, a cookie and usually coloring pages and activities. These events are free.
There is also a free storytime Tuesday and Thursday each week. You should check your store because dates and times might vary.
Regal Cinemas: Children’s movies every Tuesday and Wednesday for just $1.00 per person at 10 am. This does tend to be pretty popular in my area so be sure to get there early.
Cinemark: Children’s movies for $1 or $.50 if purchased in advance. The Summer Movie Clubhouse days depending on what state you live in. It’s best to just click on your actual theater to get show dates and times because it greatly varies.
