Went this morning 3pk of Crest Toothpaste shelf sign says you must buy 3 to get the $5 gift card
The Target in Salem said that they changed the system to honor the ad at 12:30 today and we had no problem getting the $5 gift card for each one.
i went at 9am, cashier refused to give $5 GC per item, it did auto ask if you purchase THREE.
so i went to Customer Service, was told the same, I even went and pull the tag which said Nothing about buying more than ONE to get the $5 gift card. Called GSTL, and he said nothing he can do. Wasted 20 mins in the store !!!
then call Headquarter, research about 5 mins, opened a case for me and said go back and give them reference # and should honor and he will put a urgent message out to let all store to honor the deal.
went back at 2pm, ran to same GSTL, he said he did receive the urgent note. Interesting.. either was me or a LOT of people called and complain?
Ad and Item label on shelf both indicated NO qty to receive $5 GC.
thus, after 2nd trip, got a few of each for FREE after GC. nice. did took a long time to check out because free $5 GC must be manually typed in.
Our store in Austin had the ad up that said nothing about a specific quantity needing to be purchased but the signs above the products in the store said, “when you purchase 3.” Wonder if they will honor the add or not?

I thought it was an error and I think some stores are honoring it and some are not. It is up to you how much of a fight you want :). My store had removed all the product from the shelf and there were no signs anywhere when I went on Sunday morning.
My local target had crest, colgate and oral-b products all marked $5.99 with $5 gift card back… no limits posted. I purchased 5 items per transaction and it worked perfectly!
I went today and worked fine at one target but I went to another and there was a limit one per customer per day 🙁 I was wondering when I went to my target I bought the Scott 1000 bath tissue but I forgot to grab my wipes will they honor it if I go in with just my receipt ? or would I have to return it and purchase again and lose my coupons ?

I would just go back with the receipt and they should be able to fix it for you.
