Earth Day 2013 Freebies and Deals

Usually Earth Day brings a lot of fun events and freebies from various companies.  Earth Day is officially Monday, April 22nd but many places consider it Earth Week- so there may be deals and offers running all week.

Here are some of the offers I have found so far.  I am sure more will pop up before Monday and I will certainly update as I find new things.

::RESTAURANT

Caribou Coffee-  Bring in a reusable mug or tumbler and get a free brewed coffee .

Evos– Free organic milkshake 4/22.

Peet’s Coffee- Buy a tumbler and get a free medium drink from April 20-22.

::RETAIL

Anthropologie- Children’s Potting Event  (dates vary by region)

Disney Store- Bring in 5 plastic shopping bags to recycle and receive a free Brave or Cars 2 reusable bag while supplies last on 4/22.

Michaels– Free Eco-Friendly T-Shirt Upcycling Show IN Tell.  Celebrate Earth Day by learning how to turn your old T-shirts into trendy and fashionable accessories on 4/20 1pm-3pm.

Target-  Free reusable tote bag in stores as well as coupon books for sustainable that offer over $40 in savings on April 21st at 10 am. Select bags will also contain samples of sustainable products including method Dish Soap, Annie’s Bunny Grahams, Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent and Burt’s Bees Moisturizing Cream. This is while supplies last.

The Body Shop– Free Earth Lovers Shower Gel with any purchase on 4/22. Available in store or online.

Williams-Sonoma– Earth Day in the Kitchen 4/21. Celebrate Earth Day by learning how to make your kitchen and meals “greener” and easier. We’ll demonstrate pressure cooking and steam roasting – both excellent ways to save energy and time. Times may vary by location.

::ACTIVITIES

Pottery Barn Kids.  Free packet of seeds to plant at home April 20-22.  Available while supplies last and no purchase is necessary.

National Parks. Free Entrance to National Parks from April 22-26.

And my favorite Earth Day offer is always the free cleanser from Origins.  Typically they will trade you any old (empty or semi used) skin care product for a brand new Origins product.  In the past they have done full size cleansers or generous samples.

It looks like they are not going to run the promotion this year but if you do bring in an old skin care product, Origins stores will trade you for a few samples designed to help with your skin.

Has anyone else heard of other promotions?  We might also see Lowe’s or Home Depot offering something but I haven’t seen anything specific in print so far.

    Jen, I was looking for that same one. I love the origins freebie too! Though last year I think it caught on and it was crazy at my local Macy’s trying to get it. I do like the Disney store bags they give out, they are really sturdy

    I think I’ll be headed to the mall on Monday! Disney Store for the free tote bag and The Body Shop for the shower gel with purchase! It shouldn’t be too crazy since Earth Day falls on a Monday this year!

    The babies r us coupon says 2010?
    I drove to my nearest BRU and nobody knew what I was talking about so I called corporate and they said there is not currently a promotion like this being offered.
    Bummer, I was hoping to build up a layette.
