Sacramento Bee Newspaper Subscription $29/year

If you are in the Sacramento area you might want to check out this deal on a Sunday newspaper.

Get 52 issues of the Sac Bee delivered to your home for $29.  That works out to $.58 per paper which is an excellent price.

Some of you might be paying the cover price of $2.00 per paper right now.

Here is the fine print on this offer:

  • Limit 1 per customer, up to 4 additional as gifts
  • New customers only within the greater Sacramento area
  • May be used over multiple visits
  • Options A & B: all services must be redeemed by same customer within 1 year of initial redemption
  • Option C: all services must be redeemed by same customer within 3 months of initial redemption
  • Subscription will continue after promotional period until the Bee is notified otherwise

Head over to Living Social to buy your subscription- obviously this one is listed under Sacramento.

**NOTE:  The Sacramento Bee is kind of sneaky IMO because they continue to deliver papers after your subscription expires and they charge the full outrageous price.  Once your subscription starts to get close to expiring you will get notices in the mail.  Do not ignore those because you will want to call and either cancel or at least see what the new rate is going to be.

Perfect because my subscription just expired…I better call though because I did just get a phone call from them.

Mine was up for renewal. Paid $19 for the first subscription and they wanted over $100 to renew. I called customer service and was pleasantly surprised they renewed for the same term.

There’s something about the “plus” that I heard once, but am not sure that it’s true: the Bee charges you for special holiday issues that they send you (like Thanksgiving) and so your 1-year subscription usually doesn’t last a full 52-weeks. Still a good deal though if you want the paper every week.

Yes I have found they will negotiate with you as well.
