How to Make Oobleck - a fun science experiment for kids! Goes along with the silly Dr Seuss book Bartholomew & the Oobleck

So on March 2nd it is Dr Seuss’s birthday and it is also Read Across America Day!

If you have little ones this is a great time to make homemade Oobleck!  This is such a fun and super easy craft.  You probably already have what you need on hand and it literally takes a few minutes to put together.

This stuff is really crazy.  It is like liquid when you pour it and then solid (like concrete) when you try to grab at it.

It is so fun to mix up and let the kids play with- a great little activity if you are stuck indoors right now.

You can kind of see from the photo above how it falls from her fingertips yet when it is flat on that tray it is literally hard as a rock.

How to Make Oobleck (Fun Children's Craft)

Oobleck comes from a Dr Seuss book called Bartholomew and the Oobleck.

In the book, a substance falls from the sky called Oobleck and creates all sorts of problems for the Kingdom.

This can be a fun book to read before you make this and have the book really come to life.
