Sooo I wanted to mention again that typically on Thursday most Target stores will mark items down in the toy department.
There is a chance that the toys that have been languishing at 30-50% off will finally hit 70% off.
I thought it would happen last week and it didn’t, so you never know with Target. Considering tomorrow is the day for markdowns and considering how long they have waited, there is a very good chance we will see deeper discounts.
If it is a convenient stop, you might pop in tomorrow and check. Just remember stuff goes quick. I know last year I saw people with two carts loaded up with toys.
Remember the employees need to mark things down so you want to watch for them. Also often they have not updated the signage so just because a large sign says 30% off or 50% off, I would still encourage you to actually take it to the scanner and just make sure.
I’d love to hear what you find at your store! If Target is not a convenient stop, you can always call ahead and ask. I usually ask for someone in the toy department because often those in customer service may not be aware of what is on sale.
Last but not least, you might also want to check the shoe department and the kitchen departments for additional clearance. My store has had quite a bit at 30-50% off in those areas.
You can see the full Target clearance schedule here.
And head over here if you want the scoop on the Target baby department clearance.
My store in Southern WA was marked to 70% off on almost everything. I went about 9 this morning, and I have a feeling that they may have marked things down yesterday or people got tired of waiting and made purchases at 50% because it had been nicely stocked on Tuesday, and early today it was looking pretty barren. I got:
Barbie fairy wings: $3
Remote Control Cars car: $10ish
Trackmaster Thomas Track: $10ish
S’Match game: $6ish
It was everything I’d had my eye on, so I was happy! Thanks for the updates and great deals!
I went late this afternoon in NW Ohio.
I picked up a Cabbage Patch for $12
Several matchbox cars from 0.65-$150
Toy Story 3 flying pig for $6
A few other things I can’t recall at the moment.
They had the Circo kitchen for $24 and a wooden dollhouse for $40.
Gonna try and check out my Target (Lodi) today but not crossing my fingers. lol
I went this afternoon. There were still a lot of toys at 50% not much to pick from in the 70% I did get a cut Zooble playset for $4.48
My Target still had a lot at 50% but I was able to pick up some toys at 70% for Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes: Hot Wheels for $0.65 and some Polly Pocket play sets for $1.48.
I went yesterday (Thursday) and picked up Barbie squinkies $3, Polly Pocket 7 friends set $7, and a scrabble flash game for $7. They were still marking down when I got there and another customer said that they had been 50% the day before.
