If you have a smart phone, you can get a free $2 gift card from Target right now.
This requires a few steps and you will need to download two different apps. Both are free.
1. Download the Target app first here. If you do not have Shopkick yet you will also want to download that app here.
Now go ahead and open the Target app on your phone. Click the tiny bulls eye image at the bottom. It will pull up a small menu with the weekly ad, stores, lists etc… Click the “featured” box on the left side with the image of the dog.
You will see the weekly ad at the top, so go ahead and scroll down until you see “Get a $2 Target GiftCard.”
Click Get it Now. That will redirect you to another page that says “I have the app” or I don’t have the app.
You will need to enter the number you have associated with your Shopkick account. Now Launch the app.
That should automatically put the $2 Target gift card into “My Stuff” in Shopkick. The next time you shop you can open the app as you walk into the store and you should be able to use your $2 gift card. The app will chime to let you know it registered that you walked in the store.
This will be the 4th $2.00 gift card I have received from Shopkick for Target and I haven’t had any issues redeeming them. Mine says I have 29 days to redeem the gift card.
**Now that you have Shopkick, you can also use that great coupon for activewear!

Thank you for the step by step instructions! I tried redeeming the last $2 Target gift card from Shopkick, but I couldn’t, for the life of me, figure out how to do it! It is still listed under ‘My Stuff’ in the ‘Gifts’ box. Does anyone know how to get a gift card out of the ‘Gifts’ box and transfer it to under ‘My Stuff’ as it’s own icon so I can redeem it?

When I click the gifts box it shows me things that I can buy once I have enough points. Are you sure that is where your card is?
How do you redeem the gift card? I had one last time, I tapped it in the store, it said I could use it but I had no idea how! Do I just show the cashier my phone?

The last time I was able to click it and it opened and had a bar code, the same as the mobile coupons. If I remember it wasn’t available instantly though.

No, I am not sure! I am new to Shopkick and find it very confusing actually! I just figured it was, because it tells me I have ‘Got 2’– one this week and one earlier in the month, which is true, but it doesn’t let me select them or anything…
Erin, I agree it is super confusing- I liked the older versions and wish I hadn’t upgraded it. The first version of the app was so much easier to navigate. Mine says under my stuff and shows the card with an !. I don’t see a bar code and I am just going to assume I have to trigger it by walking into the store.

hey i tried but after entering my number it tells me Uh oh! you have already redeemed this gift….does that mean i cant get it.
My thought is that they have run out of them if three of you got the same message. They probably had tons of interest on this offer.
