CVS: Free Nivea Lotion ($4 MM)

01/20/2013. This post may contain affiliate links. Read my Disclosure Policy.

UPDATE:  It looks like they may have caught the glitch today and this is no longer working.

This week in the CVS ad there is an ECB offer for a $6 ECB when you buy 2 select Aveeno, Jergens or Nivea lotions.

The ad says travel size and clearance are excluded and there is a limit of 1.

I tested the $.99 tins of Nivea lotion this morning just to see and they did indeed produce the ECB.

So here is how my transaction looked:

2 tins of Nivea lotion at $.99
Paid $1.98
Got back a $6 ECB

So it worked out to a $4 moneymaker.

Now CVS has had this glitch several times in the past and they usually do correct it at some point. The travel sizes are specifically excluded in the ad. So you can try this and see if you get lucky but there are no guarantees the ECB will actually print.

Also the ad does say a limit of 1 but my receipt shows a limit of 6 available. There is a chance the ECB will print on more then one transaction but I didn’t test it.

See more CVS deals for the week here and if you decide to try this let us know how it goes for you!

I tried this deal this morning and it worked for me. Since my store had boxes of these on the shelf, I tried this more than once and it does print with each transaction.

Charlene January 20, 2013 at 11:54 AM

Oh great Sheralle! How many transactions did you do? I am wondering if the limit is actually 6?

Denise January 20, 2013 at 1:07 PM

This worked with the blue 1 oz tins also! Great deal!

Nicole Walker January 20, 2013 at 4:10 PM

Has anyone tried the blue tins yet?

Charlene January 20, 2013 at 4:21 PM

Nicole,

Either one works. I just chose the white.

I don’t see this one in my CVS ad? I’m in Sacramento and it says B1G150% off for Aveeno….maybe I missed it, maybe it was in last week’s Sacramento ad? Anyone out there from Sac?

Nicole Walker January 20, 2013 at 5:04 PM

Awesome, thanks!

Charlene January 20, 2013 at 5:11 PM

Caslp,

I live in Sacramento and that is my purchase so yes it is working in Sacramento :) . You might check your ad again. I included an image of the ad right in the post. That is from the Sacramento ad on page 8.

I bought a mixture of blue and white, and the scenario worked. The limit is 6. My receipt said limit reached. My hands stay so dry so these will come in so handy. Thanks!

I just did this in south florida. had $10EB to spend. bought 12 tins(the blue and white mixed) and paid 2.60 in actual cash plus the $10EB. got back $36EB.

Thank you! I will try this in the morning if there are any left in Sacramento! Weird that Aveeno is in two different places in the ad…now that I have the page number I saw it!

Fern January 20, 2013 at 9:22 PM

I tried this deal with both the blue and white at 11:00pm 1/20 and No
ECBs printed here in So. Fla.

Barbara A. January 21, 2013 at 12:00 AM

Fern- If you did the deal with Aveeno or Eucerin in the last couple of weeks it will not work. Did you do the Aveeno or Eucerin deals getting the $6 ECB last week or the week before?
Thank you so much Charlene.

Anyone tried in the morning? Over now?

melissa January 21, 2013 at 7:21 AM

Tried this Monday morning and it did not work. From reading other posts, it sounds like they’ve fixed the glitch.

Kelli Mcclure January 21, 2013 at 9:10 AM

Thanks for the info, however it did not work for me. I’m glad to hear it has worked for several people

Charlene January 21, 2013 at 9:38 AM

Kelli- it sounds like they fixed it today. It worked yesterday.
