Target: Elf on the Shelf, Lalaloopsy and More Deals

Here are a few toy deals I wanted to highlight. Today when you buy a Lalaloopsy Sew Magical House for $149 you get a Lalaloopsy Sill Hair Straw doll free! The doll is normally $40 so this seems like a good deal if you had the house on your shopping list anyway.

Another highlight- The Elf on the Shelf  for $29.95 with $5 gift card back.  This is the girl version.  As you know this item does not go on sale often so you might want to grab it if you missed the last deals I posted.

And then I just wanted to mention these sparkly little girls shoes for $11.  You can choose from silver, blue or red.  I actually just saw these in store and they were $14.99 so you save about $4.

Shipping is free on all of these items.  Head over to Target to take a look. The prices are 12/11 only.

Charlene, I have a question about Elf on the Shelf for you.

We are expecting our first child (a girl) in February and I love the Elf on the Shelf idea. Is this something that needs to be purchased each Christmas season? Or do you reuse the elf and book each year? I’m just thinking ahead about looking for it on clearance (will that happen?) or buying it this year if I see another good deal…but if it can’t be reused, then I wouldn’t want to buy now!

    Thank you!

Yeah Emily it is a doll and a hardcover book so you can reuse it over and over. The inside of the book has a place where you give it a name and say when it joined your family so it is something you would keep for years and years. My girls were scared of it last year at 2 and 4. This year my 5 year old in particular loves looking for the Elf in the morning and my 3 year old forgets to look but she does get excited if she sees it. So I would say you have some time to look for a deal ;). They normally don’t go on clearance after the holidays. The cheapest ever price was $14 at Barnes and Noble recently but really you never know what will happen. There was a similar doll on sale last year after Christmas for $10. It was cuter in my opinion but I think there is something to be said for Elf on the Shelf. The kids will see that particular one everywhere- Pottery Barn did a whole line of sheets and pj’s around Elf on the Shelf this year.

Thank you Charlene! That was exactly the kind of info I was looking for. I knew you would know! 🙂

And thanks for telling me to wait a few years…that is very helpful! I’ll just keep my eyes peeled for a smokin’ deal since I have several years and maybe I’ll get lucky! 😉
